We stayed overnight, having arrived from Milan by train to travel by plane from Malpensa the next day. The apartment is an easy walk from the station (even with luggage) and is well-appointed. There was good, effective communication and directions for accessing the apartment.
“Stop & Go” Flat Exceeded Expectations!
Nadia and Maurilia with Nota-mi represented this flat wonderfully!
Nadia was my reservation contact on an email-communications level and was very prompt and professional with responses.
Maurilia met us at our time of check-in to the flat and was most welcoming.
As we had already spent several days vacationing in Crete with large, heavy suitcases and backpacks, thankfully, the Stop & Go flat had a service elevator/lift to the 5th floor!
Maurilia gets the “Wonder Woman” medal of the year for (1) helping with our suitcases up to the elevator access (lobby) floor, (2) ensuring we made the lift with our heavy baggage, and (3) because there was no other room in the lift, Maurilia sprinted up the stairs to the 5th floor to meet us as we arrived the flat! (Phew! You go, Girl! :) )
In regards to the flat – location, location, location!!
The best place to be! The Stop & Go flat is less than a five minute walk to Centrale Station which made our daily commute incredibly smooth with our scheduled activities. In addition, we had a ground transfer by bus from Bergamo airport to Centrale upon our arrival in Milan so walking the short distance to the flat with our heavy luggage was no issue. The same applies upon our departure when making the transfer from Centrale to Linate airport.
The flat was stocked with more than what I expected with all the kitchen necessities and condiments to make adequate meals for a comfortable stay when we didn’t want to dine out. There was also a nice bottle of complimentary wine to welcome us.
The flat having a clothes water is a huge plus. We had already been travelling for two weeks prior to our Milan arrival so being able to wash our clothes on our schedule in the flat was great! The flat also comes with two very large clothes racks allowing them to dry.
While a very minimal issue (for us), the flat is indeed in the center of the city and is located on a very busy street and with that, comes a lot of traffic noise. Because we were visiting in the fall, we slept with the windows closed and had sound sleep; however, I’m not sure how one would fare if they’re a light sleeper and chose the window being opened allowing fresh air to come through.
If we’re fortunate enough to visit the beautiful city of Milan again, the Stop & Go flat will be my first option should it still be offered and available!
