The Canada Hotel have an amazing staff and very good localization, near Duomo Piazza and metro station. Clean and confortable room. The breakfast was simple and delicious. The parking was separate and not included on price.

Good location, clean rooms, quiet, and great service. The rooms are very modern as well. The breakfast that is included is very good. We only stayed one night, but I would return again...and I hope to! I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Taxi ride from Malpensa airport (the farther of two airports serving international travel to Milan) was flat rate of 90 euro. Our flight from Vienna to Milan was only about 65 euro. That said, the taxi ride was fifty minutes at 120 to 140 KM per hour on a thee to four lane freeway. I would suspect this highway could plug up in a big way so the flat rate is likely the best rate. Train and bus transit are more reasonably priced alternatives to get to Milan.

The hotel is not in tourist town - that was perfect as we got a great taste of the real Milan. Still, it's only a twenty minute walk to the old city centre and the Duomo etc. Dining options are a fifteen minute walk to the right ... Wonderful area for people watching and a number of good options available. Or, walk down Romana to another local area with restaurants and bakeries, maybe fifteen minutes. There is a fantastic church on every corner in Milan it seems, so there was plenty to see. It was about a 25 minute walk to the last supper, and a few minutes longer to the castle area. Under 40 minutes and you are in the Brera area for museums and dining.

The room was very small with a big comfy bed and crisp linens. Safe and wifi in the room worked great. Breakfast was weak, starts at 7 am but by 7:30 there was still no eggs or bacon. Lots of fresh pastry, cereals, yogurts and juices. Reception desk were very helpful with dining suggestions, taxis, as well as directions. Check in and out were handled quickly and professionally. Shower was cruise ship size but lots of hot water, lots of pressure, a hand wand, and lots of towels.

The hotel was clean everywhere, and housekeeping did a fine job. A handyman should be called to fix the run on toilet and the loose shower drain cap, but that's Italy. TV worked fine but only CNN and BBC for English choices ... We don't watch much tv on vacation so only these two news channels was not a problem. We had a room overlooking the main street of via Sofia and it was very noisy all night long with traffic and sirens. The hotel is tiny, only five rooms per floor I believe. Try to get a room off the street.

Room Tip: Get a room that does not overlook the very busy street

My partner and I stayed here for leisure over four nights, including two weekend nights. We had a hard time finding decent 3 or 4* hotels in reasonable price range (our budget was approx 200~225€ a night) in the city centre (within the inner circle). This was one of the very few options with good reviews on tripadvisor, so we opted for this, and we were pretty happy with our stay.

The location of the hotel is excellent. We are night owls and Milan does not have the best night transit or taxi option (easy for locals to call night bus or taxi, but not for us tourists with limited Italian and no local cell phone), so we were glad that the hotel has a 24 hours bus line run right in front of it, with a number of key tram lines around the corner, some of them running night service. There are also two subway stations on Line 3 within a 5-minute walk. Of course, the key attractions are all within walking distances. We generally felt pretty safe even when getting back at 3 or 4am in the morning.

We were given a room on the sixth floor, with a view facing the street. The room was clean, simply and sleekly decorated, and well lit. (The room photos on the hotel website were fairly accurate representations.) It was smaller than we expected, but still decent size. The bathroom was also quite small, and I felt somewhat boxed-in in the shower. The wifi in the room was consistently reliable. The bed was comfortable. The room lack a desk (only has a little breakfast table), which was a bit of a drawback.

The staff at the front desk spoke somewhat limited English. The day staff were somewhat cold/indifferent, but that just might just be a language thing. The night staff were generally friendly. We have no complaint about housekeeping. We only used the breakfast once. It was somewhat limited but adequate and typical of European hotels.

Me and my partner have just returned home from a trip around Italy. We started in Milan for two nights, staying at hotel Canada. The room was clean and modern. The reception staff advised us where to eat and sight see, which was really helpful as we only had a short amount of time. The breakfast was good quality with lots on offer but the room it was served was rather small. The location is perfect to walk into milan's centre (duomo). Free wifi and minibar were nice extra touchs. Overall the room was really good value for money and perfect for a short stay in Milan.

Arriving in Milan city centre direct from the airport via the bus (€1.50 for 90mins of public transport), getting to the hotel is less than a 10 minute walk from Crocetta Metro station.

The staff were very helpful and were happy to recommend places to eat on our first night. The location is perfect; far enough away from the city centre to be quiet, but close enough to comfortably walk into town.

The hotel was thoroughly clean and the breakfast had lots of choice, although you can get a little warm as you're below ground level.
