This is a top food restaurant with a very simple but authentic kitchen. The ingredients are of a very high quality. (Try the proscutto crudo...) and they have a very large choise of good wines. (Try the red Italian Amarone wine). This is a place I will return for sure!

Excellent restaurant, the owner comes to your table to explain how it works. Basically you don't choose anything, he brings many different foods at a time. It starts with a prosecco and a white whine with a wide selection of hams (more than 8 different types), followed by a pasta and risotto and red wines. After that it is time to choose some of many cheeses they offer. All for 70€ per person. Definitely recommend for those who like hams, cheese and wine.

This unusual restaurant was recommended by a friend. It is a novelty type of place since there is no menu and you are brought out 6 courses beginning with a huge bowl of fresh vegetables with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I have never tasted such flavorful celery before. Then the meat courses begin inclusing Parma ham, sausage, mortadella, different types of prosciutto. Then 2 cheese course where you are asked your preferences beforehand. Each of these courses is accompanied by a different wine. We had many excellent wines but the Amarone was our favorite. Go here if you have a sense of adventure and are willing to try new things.

We were recommended this restaurant on hearsay by a colleague in Milan. We knew we would get ham and cheese but that does tell half the story. Fresh vegetables, bread, cheese nibbles and pate started the meal and I asked the sommelier to choose the wines. I was expecting a bottle of white and a bottle of red! We were half way throuigh the white when the red arived. We drunk the whole of the white quickly (our mistake!) and another different red arrived before we had drunk a glass of the first one!
Next course was about 10 versions of prosciutto then followed by 3 more smoked ones and finalyy the restaurants top pick. And more red wine appeared but by now we had worked out that we were not expected to finish each bottle.
The main courses were small (deliberately) and consisted of some lovely ravioli and risotto; and more red wine!
Then onto the cheeses; a plate of fresh cheeses followed by a choice from over 40 cheeses from the cheese trolley. And more red wine - a lovely Amarone this time. Plus a sweet wine to finish but we were beaten now so did not have any desert.

If you like prosciutto and cheese this is something not to be missed. The cost was €170 for 2 which is not cheap but we both felt was worthwhile. It may be possible to eat more cheaply if you choose just a bottle of wine rather than do the full tasting but we did not test this out.
