“Excellent food in an elegant and authentic ambiente!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2012

Have been there with friends for dinner. For them it was the first time in Italy and so I looked for a restaurant with a typical cool, elegant and authentic atmosphere in a 'nothern Italian style'. WIth Novecento I found what I was looking for: Having a great daily menu beside a broad variation of (northern) Italian dishes, includingtagliata (both types made from beef and fish!) and a gorgeous dessert buffet with fresh fruit, cake and other typical indulging sweets! All dishes we had (tagliata, filet w/two different gravies made w/red wine and one made w/nuts), pasta/gnocchi, gambas, salad, fruits, cakes, tiramisu).
The location is not far from teh congress center. The reservation by internet worked flawless as well.
If you look for a restaurant with an excellent northern italian cuisine, this is the one for you!

“EXPENSIVE RIP OFF”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2012

Went there with an Italian, Roberta C., a tour guide who lives near Wagner, in Milano ... she spoke only English with us so they did not know her as one of them. Interesting but costly results! 270 Euros for 3 people to eat a 3 course dinner! The wine we chose was a good Piemontese but only cost 35 Euros, so where did the other 235 Euros come from? 80 Euros per head for food? No way! RIP OFF. Contested but told as we were paying in cash, for a discount (haha!) and not getting a receipt, we could not see an itemised bill. Disgusted, though it did occur to us after that the restaurant were working hand-in-hand with our tour guide who may take a cut of the cash (ours) she brings in with her. Never again! Avoid.

“Excellent local restaurant. Everything right”

One of the best neighbourhood meals I have had. Pre-match meal - walking distance to San Siro stadium. Food very good. Service friendly with a family meal. Comfortable and welcoming

“Great place for Pizza or for a full meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2012

Located literally across the street from Gaspare on the corner of Via Vittoria Colonna, this restaurant can be a bit impersonal but their food is uniformly above average.
Wines are as usual expensive.
I usually prefer beer and their beer selection is acceptably good.
What a pleasant contrast from their neighbor across the street.
Whether it is for a business dinner or a Saturday lunch date they have never disappointed.
Very good Pizza, Excellent beef and seafood (fried scampi and calamari are great), first rate pasta dishes. Nothing but good things to say about this locale besides, as said above, they are a bit impersonal.

Not cheap but you get what you pay for.
