“Excellent Pizzeria - very good quality and real pizza + ancient motorcycles!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2013

This review is for the pizzeria. The menu also offers trattoria style food.
The location is excellent when you are in the middle part of Corso Buenos Aires in Milan.
Ideal for a business lunch.
You may want to make a reservation. There is quite some seating area, but it is well known and may fill up quickly.

The interior is classic. This place has a private exposition, in the pizzeria, of ancient motorcyles, Moto Guzzi, Motom, and others. (See my picture of the entrance!)
The atmosphere is therefore original, as they are well restored, and with an explanation panel, like in a museum.

The owners are present, and the waiters are experienced.
The service is quick and no frills.

<FORNO A LEGNA> which is fundamental for a good pizza (but not enough, on itself).
I had an excellent pizza, a specialty of the house, very tasty, a "Mozzarella di Bufala e Funghi Porcini" and it was well worth the price of €12. Ingredients were good and pizza was crusty on the outside and smooth on the inside.
We drank water, Sanpellegrino.
Prices of pizza's go from €6 to €12, so you can spend less for your pizza, although I would go all the way to the specials.

For Milan this place isn't excessively expensive, and especially because the food (pizza) is really good. So Q/P ratio is correct.
I can recommend this place.

“Should welcome foreign guests warmly”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2013 via mobile

Food was fine but waitress could be more welcoming to visitors from all over the world regardless of colour and language. Perhaps the staff are too busy. Manager is a nice guy though.

“Good food, quick service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 28, 2013

After reading other reviews, we decided we needed to check Sabatini out for ourselves, especially as it was only 5 mins walk from our hotel (Best Western Premier Cristoforo Columbo).

Our experience was positive overall. The food was good quality, well priced and from a good selection to choose from on the menu. Service was also very good - our waiter was efficient, attentive, friendly and even a little but funny, despite him also being run off his feet serving tables and doubling up on the wood fire pizza oven. It was very busy, but we were able to get a table straight away on a Saturday evening and starters on the table within 10 minutes of ordering.

If you are staying in this part of Milano, then we would recommend for a simple, tasty and authentic Italian dining experience.

And for dessert - head to Gelato Gusto (on Via San Gregorio) only a couple of streets away - some of the tastiest gelato we have eaten during our couple of weeks travelling through Italy.

“Terrible atention!!!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2013 via mobile

I went there because ir was recomended in the hotel. A medium semi oberweighted waitor was very rude, didnt explain any dish and his attitude towards turists was terrible.
I ate risotto a la zaffrani , and it is the most salty overpriced rice I have ever paid for. Also ordered grilled vegetables, who were tasteless!!! And for that and a soda i paid 20 euros!!!
Do your math! Dont go!
