If you don't have a car a small train from Verona to Mantova takes you there in about 35 minutes.
Mantova offers 2 beautiful palaces. The Ducale Palacio where took place the "Rigoletto" libretto. and the T. very interesting also, but the theater : Teatro scientifico - or Teatro Bibiena - is not known because kind of hidden from the main attraction in Mantova.
Visits are possible from 10 am to 1 pm and from 3 to 5 pm, for a very modest price and it is worth doing the detour.
Built in 1767 it remains intact and lovely. with all its small loggias and the particularity of loggias above the stage.
A real jewel .. for theater and architecture lovers.
You get your ticket near a very nice and pleasant hostess and visit the theater on your own at our own pace which makes it nicer, you can take a sit and imagine the plays or concerts held there .. since 1767.. 'for example it is known that Mozart himself gave a concert at the Bibiena in Mantova, at the age of 14 years old...' I highly recomment this visit that takes at the most one hour of your visit to Mantova, and I can promess you won't regret. LD
