Driving by Mantova, we entered to the city for lunch. Parked to the first spot i found and asked for a good restaurant to the elegant lady in the next car. We were pointed to Aquila Nigra. I could never found that location, neither we would enter that cobblestone street as my female colleague was wearing high heel shoe. Well hidden, probably a Michelin star restaurant. We chose rabbit and Parmigiano Melanzana as starter. Fantastic. Then, we both picked home made tagliatelle with fresh mushrooms. No cream, very light. We paired our lunch with a local Sauvignon Blanc. Excellent lunch. Would love to be there for dinner as well. Hopefully next time. If the weather permits, they have nice little patio as well, which we were able to enjoy. I look forward to the opportunity to visit Mantova again.
