My husband and I rented an apartment in Carciano. We walked up the hill from our apartment to Someraro and found this lovely village restaurant. Lunch on the outdoor terrace was pasta pesto, cheese omelet with sauteed spinach, half litre of wine, bottle of water and coffee. The cost was only 11 euros each, including bread and service. The food was simple and very tasty. And, thankfully, not over-salted, for my taste! Service was very pleasant. We had fun attempting to converse in Italian with the waiter and hostess. Her English was excellent and the waiter graciously let us murder his language with good humour. The view--amazing! Lake Maggiore spreads out before you with the mountains as background. Just a lovely meal, in a perfect quiet setting.
