Located almost equidistant from the edge of town and the zoological gardens is this pretty little hut with a garden and a minigolf course.
We stopped here for a couple of beers after visiting the gardens and I must say it was one of my favourite moments of our holiday.
Set next to a very slim section of the beach, you feel like you are right upon the lake as you sit and enjoy your drinks. Despite being right near the main road we found it extremely tranquil and could have happily sat there all night.

We would never have found this place if we hadn’t been en route to the excellent zoological gardens at Park Villa Pallavicino. It was a perfect place to stop for a drink and a rest on a very hot day. Service was friendly and we look forward to a game of mini golf on our next visit. The beach is fairly narrow and stony but it was good to be so close to the water and watch the gentle waves before walking on.

We'd spent the day in Stresa which is a beautiful town, and before heading off, decided to have a quick game of mini golf. But this place is so chilled that we ended up staying much longer for a cocktail and having an evening walk on the private beach below the bar. Owners seem really chilled and friendly - not surprising given how stunning their view is!

The mini golf course was a little tired looking and only had 9 holes but they were fun and challenging so going around again was just as fun, although I did worse the second time around!

The bar had a good cocktail menu and crisps were complimentary with our drinks. We sat on high swivel chairs overlooking the lake and it was simply heaven. Thank you LOV bar for a very relaxing couple of hours :-)

Great cocktails, nice garden seating area, pebble beach with sun beds for hire, and a mini golf. Worth a visit!

After a fairly tiring walk round the zoo and botanical gardens we were likely to stop at the first place that might give us a snack and a cold beer.
Opposite the gardens is the most unprepossessing roadside pull in for bikers ( which we are not). However you can sit overlooking the lake and have something very simple.
We chose Prosciutto and Melon. Could not be more simple, could it? Well it was indeed simple but it happened to be probably the best example of that Italian invention that we had ever eaten. It was also, by the way, the most generous portion of that dish that either of us had ever seen.
A place that in normal circumstances we would never visit will now never be forgotten!

A short walk from Stresa center. Played the mini golf with the kids, swam in the lake and sat on the beach. Great view of the lake, nice cold beers. Friendly stuff. Recommend.

We found this nice little beach, cafe, and 9 hole mini-golf course on TripAdvisor and decided to give it a whirl on a gorgeous morning in Stresa. And we're glad we did! The beach is quiet and uncrowded. It is a pebble rock beach and even in the water the first several feet are rocky on the bottom--making water shoes a must. Lounge chairs can be rented for 6 Euros and most of the beach is in the sun--there are few shady spots available and they got taken early on the day we were there. The cafe serves a variety of beverages--alcohol and non-alcoholic--for a reasonable fee. Snacks are also available but not true meal food. The mini-golf course costs 5 Euros and is quite challenging according to my sons. Not like the usual kiddie courses at home. We spent about 2+ hrs at Lov Lounge Beach before heading back into Stresa for the rest of our day. Overall it was worth the short walk compared with the regular city beach next to the playground in town.
