“Great small family run hotel on the lake & in old town”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

Booked just on the fly, and was surely not disappointed. After driving through some narrow streets in the old town, we arrived at a place looking as it could have been part of an "Agatha Christie-novel". Old fashioned family run British style hotel, good size room, and good breakfast with an impressive large collections of sweets and cake. Great private pier for sun bathing (free beds and towels). We will surely return, and would recommend to anyone.

A lovely family run hotel in a quiet location.
Nothing was a problem if you required something different from the menu at meal times.
Despite what some reports say, children are, accepted at this Hotel.
This is also a Dog Friendly Hotel and it was not nice when a resident brought her dog into the dinning room for meals.
If I did stay here again I would not pay any supplement for a balcony or lake view as the balconies are very small and most rooms have some kind of lake views.
Fantastic choice at breakfast time.
Lovely lake side jetty for sunbathing or swimming from.

Room Tip: We payed extra for a balcony and lake view, but the balcony was very small and the lake view was res...

Pace is located within the walled city and is located on a quiet side street. The view from our balcony was glorious! The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing; everything was baked at the hotel. We ate dinner on the patio, it was gourmet and served expertly by very congenial waiters. We have nothing but good things to say about Pace. When we return to Sirmione, we will be staying at Pace!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a lake view...it just adds a dramatic vista.

Stayed at this hotel for a week June 5 to 12 and it certainly lived up to our expectations. The location is ideal, right on the lake edge and centrally located in beautiful Sirmione. For seeing the Southern end of Lake Garda this is a good town to be in and the hotel lies withing the best part and only a few minutes away from the ferry terminal and all the sights. The hotel is family run and the owners and staff couldn't have been nicer. Our room overlooked the lake and was well appointed and maintained, All modcons and furnishings, but in keeping with the historic nature of the building. We stayed on a half board basis and enjoyed all our meals. The breakfast was buffet style and there was quite a spread to choose from - a great start to the day. We took our dinners in the main restaurant and this was waiter service. 4 courses, together with a salad bar. Choice was from a "table d'hote" type menu, which was fine and we always enjoyed what was on offer. The desserts were always a special treat. However, if you couldn't see anything you liked on the menu they offered to cook something more to your own choice. The hotel also has an "a la carte" restaurant (available at a supplement if staying half board) which had a very high reputation in the town. Unfortunately we never got round to using it, but saved that for a return trip. After dinner it was nice to have a saunter around the town and then return to the hotel's comfy lounge and bar for a coffee or a nightcap. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Room Tip: If you can go for a lake view room.

We spent a week here June 1 to 8 and the owners and staff could not have been more kind and helpful.
It is in the centre of Sermione but in a quiet piazza fronting onto the Lake with lakeside tables weather permitting, and it did !
We had a room with a view of Lake Garda from the balcony and it was just great to sit there with a glass of wine prior to dinner watching the sun dip over the mountains to the north.
Mama was there every morning helping with breakfast that consisted of cereals, meats ,eggs, fruit, toast ,croissants ,butter ,jam, cakes galore.
Dinner was always 3 course followed by dessert and coffee as required.
Guilia on the desk needed only to be asked in order to have a problem solved or be given information on discounts on the ferries etc.
The lounge felt homely and was quiet and peaceful
A perfect week with perfect weather

Room Tip: We had Room 88 The ACD can be switched off if required when the room card is left in the service...
