Very nice apartment, everything you could possibly need. Situated within walking distance(800 metres) to the old town where you can get a ferry and explore other towns on the lake.
Gian is very helpful and approachable.
Lovely apartment decorated and equipped to a very high standard. Spotlessly clean. Communal areas all kept clean and tidy. Perfect location for the lake and walking into the old town. The owner met us on arrival and came to see us before we left. Would definitely recommend this apartment especially for couples.
Apartment was as it appears in the pictures well equipped and the owner was very welcoming. We enjoyed the pool it really isn't that cold once you get in ! We had no problems with being made to feel unwelcome when using it. Fabulous views from the side balcony which we used more than the one at the front because of road noise. It is within a short walk of Sirmione old town..10 minutes ..which has numerous places to eat and it is so easy to catch a boat from here to all over Lake Garda. Parking was good. We also drove to Verona, well worth a visit and not as expensive to park as we expected.
We stayed at the apartment last week for 4 nights. It is in a great location 10 minutes walk away from the old town of Sirmione which has lots of restaurants and bars and quaint streets to wander through. It is also easy to get to other places from there by bus or boat. Gina is very welcoming and took time to show us where everything was and how things worked. The apartment was spotless and well kitten out. Each room had its own air con and electric blind. There was a big balcony out the front where you could sit, although it was a bit noisy from the traffic.
We were there with our 2 daughters who wanted to be by the pool relaxing and reading their books and soaking in the lovely views across the lake. The pool was pristine and very cold as it wasn't heated so my daughter was lying on the inflatable that she had brought as there were only 2 sun beds allowed per apartment. However this was against the rules and the pool police came and shouted at her rudely even though there was no one else around that she was bothering. She obeyed the rules from then on but we all felt uncomfortable when we were by the pool and that we were intruding. Other apartments are lived in by people permanently and we got the impression they didn't really like tourists being there. It is a shame because the apartment is in a great location by the lake and near the town.
The apartment is perfectly placed for Sirmione. Pool and access the the lake in the back garden and a terrace, which has sun in the morning and shade in the afternoon.
Parking was easy, and apartment had everything a self catering apartment needs.
Gian was very helpful, and genuinely wanted you to have a good time.
Bit of a walk the supermarket, about 2k, and no food shops closer, which was a bit of a pain.
Would good back in a heartbeat.
The apartment was great, a real home from home for the week. Everything we could possibly need was provided and it was spotlessly clean. The apartment is ideally located close to the centre of Sirmione but it is on a very busy road so it was noisy most of the time. We still enjoyed sitting on the balcony and it was a good spot to 'people watch'. The pool area to the rear of the building is lovely and backs directly onto the lake. The views are stunning and It gets the sun until late in the evening.
I would disagree with the previous reviewer on several points. Gian Pietro was a great host. We arrived earlier than planned and he accommodated this. He gave us lots of information but after that first day he didn't call on us again. We certainly didn't find him intrusive. He did ring on our last day to ask if we had had a good time and to arrange the checkout. We didn't find the beds uncomfortable or the linens of poor quality. I do agree however, that the apartment is better suited to couples rather than families. We had 2 children aged 15 and 12 with us. Naturally they wanted to play in the pool but this was frowned upon by what I presumed were residents. The pool had lots of rules; no jumping in, no inflatables, no beach balls. We did use these in the lake but it wasn't the same as playing in the pool. Out of respect to others we didn't allow the children to break the rules but we were still made to feel uncomfortable by some (not all) of the residents even for having swimming races. All in all, a lovely apartment in a lovely place. We would return as a couple as the area is beautiful but with the children we would look for a more family friendly place.
This apartment is basic and clean. The owner Gian Pietro was unable to meet us when we arrived so arranged for his son in law to greet us with the keys as his daughter's family live on the top floor apartment overlooking the lake. We had to then meet Gian Pietro the following day so he could photograph our passports. He then returned again the following morning as one of the photos was blurry. We then had another visit from Gian Pietro a couple of days later to go over the check out procedure (again). He is a friendly local man with lots of advice and information albeit a little intrusive and keen to keep a watchful eye.
The location of the apartment is only a 12-15mins walk to the castle gates of beautiful Sirmione. It has a very large, nicely furnitured balcony to the front which overlooks a very busy road, which we found very noisy, especially at night time. There is another small balcony to the side which has a partial lake view in the distance but isn't very relaxing due to the persistent road noise. The best views can be found from the lovely roof terrace, which would be a great oasis for couples but got too boring after a while for our 2 children. It's worth going up there though if only to watch the amazing sunsets.
We found the beds very uncomfortable with poor quality linen/towels and the lounge area sofa is terribly uncomfortable and needs replacing. The kitchen area is modern and well equiped and the bathroom finished to a nice standard. The washing machine isn't the best but ok for smalls.
There are 2 sun loungers to take downstairs to the pool and these must be brought back up again every day. The pool area is very pleasent and has a beautiful, tranquil position on the lake, which is perfect for sunbathing and swimming. As one would expect it is shared with the permanent residents within the complex and frequently in use. The apartment next door is occupied by an Englishman who lives with his elderly mum and boyfriend. Sadly they felt the need to complain to Gian Pietro that our 12 and 8 year old girls were too noisy around the pool at siesta time. The mother even approached my children directly and told them to be quiet within 5 minutes of my husband and I going for a swim in the lake. The fact these people were unable to speak to myself or my husband personally about this we found disappointing. Our children were excited and playful as most would be on holiday but broke none of the pool rules and are always polite and respectful to others. We felt their behavior was nothing out of the ordinary and felt awkward and uncomfortable telling our children to be quiet all the time. After this incident we did not return to the pool, which was a real shame. The complex has a private car park with secure electric gates but I would not recommend this apartment if you want a relaxing stay with younger children. We would therefore not return to this apartment despite the reasonable cost of rental, but will certainly be coming back to beautiful Lake Garda next year. We had an excellent meal just down the road at the stunning Villa Pioppi Hotel, which has lovely rooms right on the lake and very family orientated.
