August 11th. 2010. My wife and I got married in Italy and stayed the week in the hotel. The hotel is spotless and the room we where in was very spacious . The staff where extremely friendly. We had our wedding reception in the hotel .the staff where amazing we could not want or ask for any more. The wedding was perfect but the hotel was the icing on the cake . I would and will be coming back again. Thank you hotel sirimione.

We stayed for 4 nights in June 2012 and it was really excellent. The location, inside the walls of the town, is just too convenient for the restaurants and ice cream parlours! We did not hire a car but used the boats from the jetty next to the hotel to see other towns around the lake.

The staff were very efficient, friendly and happy to help with any requests. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis so did not eat in the hotel for lunch or dinner.

We would definately stay at this hotel again. Our rooms were the Comfort rooms, which are advertised as the lowest cost, but were some of the best equipped and laid out of any hotel we have stayed in.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Comfort rooms which are across the courtyard from the main hotel but were great and...

My boyfriend and I stayed at this fabulous hotel for 5 nights, the staff were welcoming, spoke good english and helped us book day trips from the hotel to Venice and Verona. The room we booked, which was a Comfort Room, was great, clean and spacious - it was on the quieter side of the hotel and had a good view of the lake as well as the lake and pool.
The breakfast buffet had a good choice of foods but nothing special - selection of cold meats, cereals, pastries and scrambled eggs.
The hotel itself was in a perfect location, in our opinion the best in the town. There is also a great terrace overlooking the lake, a perfect evening setting.

Room Tip: Comfort room is more than adequate - spacious, clean and good view although not directly facing the...

We stayed for 2 nights at the hotel Sirmione and had a fantastic trip. We were treated excellently from the moment we arrived at the front door until when we checked out. Firstly the hotel offers free parking and a free valet service to boot which was great after a long drive. The staff and reception and in the pool area were always friendly and professional. We had a speedy check in and got a lovely room on the top floor with a side view of the lake and castle. It was on the quieter side away from the square which can get noisy on the other side of the hotel. The room we stayed in had been recently renovated and was in the main building of the hotel. While the corridor outside has a funny smell and is quite warm on entering your room there was a small hallway and another door to the bedroom which blocked out any noise. The best part was the room had air conditioning as it was 35c outside during our stay.
The room had a nice double bed and a single bed was brought in for our daughter at no extra charge. The bathroom was only a shower and no bath but that was fine. The room facilities were very good with lots of storage space. English tv was limited but we didnt use it anyways.
There was fast free wifi which worked in the room and all around the hotel and even outside in the pool area.
The best part of the trip for our daughter was the free heated spa and pool which was lovely.
It was across a little street which was a bit wierd when going in swimwear but was not that bad as there was only the hotel there anyways at that end. The pool is heated with natural thermal waters so wear old swimwear and no jewellery to save it getting tarnished. It did smell like sulphur but was not too hot as earlier reviews suggest (maybe management have listened to their reviews). the pool was clean and was right next to the harbour so you could see all the little boats going by which was lovely.
We had breakfast included which was a nice buffet and was fresh food - I think it is available for everyone. The first night we arrived we also had a super free buffet of snacks and prosecco for all guests which was a lovely touch. We felt like we were in a 5 star hotel at times it was so good.
The town of Sirmione is awesome - right on the end of a peninsula in lake Garda and is so quaint. The hotel is footsteps away from all the action. The castle is a 1 minute walk and on the back of the hotel is the main square with all the local restaurants. If you do swim in the lake watch out for the bird and bird pooh as our swimwear stank after it. Way better to stay by the hotel pool. Eat in the excellent nearby restaurants for 10 euro a pizza. The hotel has a nice restaurant but is expensive.
Overall we had a super stay and would love to come back again. Not too expensive either if you get an offer and pre-pay in advance.

Room Tip: Most rooms have a view of the lake so dont bother paying for a lake balcony unless you really want o...

My partner and I stayed here for a week in July. Sirmione is a beautiful location and the castle and the history is suburb. The Hotel Sirmione however, was a let down. We booked an executive room which was very nice, with a great view from the balcony.

But after paying a considerable amount of money for the room it would have been nice to have air conditioning, it was 35 degrees outside and a balmy 29 in our room. We informed reception and they did everything they could to avoid helping us, they first said by looking at their computer that we were wrong and it was in fact working. They then said that they would send someone to fix it, after they established that there were no other rooms they could offer us . After 2 days no one came and when confronted they said they did not send for anyone because there is nothing they could do, that it was "too hot for the air-con to work" and that all of the rooms on the 3rd floor were as hot and then shrugged and moved on to the next in the que. We asked for some fans which they agreed to send up, but none came. The staff were very rude, did not seem bothered at all.

The breakfast was just as bad. The whole thing was a complete shambles. By 0900 there were no tables cleared or set and the waiters were running around trying to set the inside tables for lunch! I tried clearing one of the tables myself and they just watched and tutted at. I dread to think what it must be like trying to get breakfast anytime after half 9!

The pool is not a conventional pool but a thermal pool, which is not well advertised. So when its 30+ outside a dip in a similarly hot pool is not appealing! Also, the hotel itself did not have any direct access to the lake, which most other hotels offered, either some form of a beach or deck.

I must say that the rooms were spotless and the hotel maids were very effective. They came twice a day and did a thorough job.

Overall, we were very disappointed with what we got, having paid a good amount of money, the service that was provided was sub-standard for a 4-star hotel.

Room Tip: 3rd floor rooms have no working air conditioning.

Stayed at the Hotel Sirmione for two nights in the middle of April. The location is excellent, by the lake right within the old city gate. If you have a car, show your recervation to at the gate booth and you can drive through to the hotel - they will park your car for you when you have unloaded your luggage. The room was ok, with pretty views of the lake. Good breakfast buffet. We liked it!

We are just back from a week's holiday in the Hotel Sirmione. The location must be one of the best in Sirmione. Our room was spotless, comfortable and quiet at night. The staff were extremely attentive. We enjoyed the thermal pools and the sun terrace was a good place from which to watch the world sail by. We stayed on a B and B basis and found the buffet breakfasts to be very good. We had one evening meal and, although it was perfectly cooked, we thought it was rather expensive.

Would I stay in Hotel Sirmione again? Definitely!
