“Great location, rooms, and service”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

A beautifully remodelled hotel which is a mere 10 minute walk to the train station. The staff were very friendly and helped us find some amazing restaurants. The location is great to shopping and the lake. We will definitely be visiting again.

You will be surprised by the pleasant little hotel. Updated bath and new bedding, quite nice. Would suggest requesting room in back of hotel on 3rd floor. This room has exposed beams and might be a few euros more but worth it. Room on 2nd floor in front, very tiny and no place to put luggage. Also needs hooks or shelf in bathroom...but other than that, by all means choose the hotel for it's location. Spanish resturant across the street excellent!

We had an upper level room overlooking the narrow street, I was worried about traffic noise on the cobbled street but heard nothing. There are shutters on the windows, which cuts out the noise and keeps the room dark. It was wonderful looking out the window to the building opposite with its beautiful flower boxes. We had a view beyond the end of the road to mountains in the distance.
We walked from the train station to the Hotel after receiving good directions for walking before leaving home. The hotel is on the edge of the centre of town shops and we did the circuit to lakefront, through town with it's beautiful old buildings, along the old stone wall, back to hotel.
We had a good sized room and big bathroom.
Breakfast was very good with cereals etc and boiled eggs.
The Manager spoke very good English and was very helpful. We had a laugh though whilst trying to explain to a young teenage boy assistant, that our room had run out of toilet paper. He first bought us a map of the town; then some serviettes; and finally a roll of t/paper after my husband using sign language to demo it's uses.
We wish we had booked more nights here but were just having a one night stop between Venice and Rapallo. We will return.

Dear Customer
Thank you for your comment and your graet feedback about our hotel.

We're really happy when our clients write a comment so positive about us,
and also to add pictures about the structure, that very often the client believes that do not correspond to reality.

About to the joung guy every summer we give the opportunity to young boys of work in the world of tourism with internships and other events.

Hoping to have done what pleased responding to your comment.

We wish you a Merry Christmas and happy new year.

Waiting for your visit, even for a longer period for you

Stay here on a car trip round Italy, and got a good late booking price so wasn't sure what to expect. To my delight it was a very polished, charming boutique hotel with excellent service, great rooms and slap bang in the middle of town.

Would recommend it - although if you are taking a car be aware parking may not be straightforward. I was well out of season so was OK, but can imagine the scrum you would face in summer..

This hotel is very close to the train station (about a 10 to 15 min walk) and is in a quieter area of Como. Not that Como is a particularly busy city, but after traveling through the most tourist filled cities of Italy (Positano, Rome, Florence, Venice...) it was a relief to just be in a quiet neighborhood with everything still in walking distance.

The hotel seems family run and the service here is very good and the rooms are quite spacious and clean. It's a solid 3-star hotel so don't expect luxurious accommodations, but a clean, quiet place to rest.

There is a restaurant next door that gives you a discount if you're staying at the hotel. Look for the review of Trattoria Pizzeria in Borgovico for more details about the restaurant.

Convenient to the train station. Great Neighborhood. Easy walking distance to everything.
Friendly and attentive staff. Spacious and clean rooms and bathrooms. Excellent water pressure. Terrific breakfast. This isn't the most luxurious hotel but it's a solid performer
that we loved.

Room Tip: We stayed in what I will call the Annex in the back up the steps.....very private and very romantic...

We stayed in this establishment for 3 nights as part of our Italy trip. We stayed in a superior room that was large, clean, but rather spartan. The location was good for the train but a 10 minute walk into the city center. The breakfast selection was minimal but the quality quite good. Our only issue with the hotel was it appeared to have a couple staff problems while we were resident. Would I stay here again, yes but only for one night.
