We were so appalled when we arrived we didn’t even stay in this hotel as we felt the room they gave us was 100% unacceptable! The receptionist said it was classed as a "deluxe" room but it was dark, the curtains didn’t fit the window properly and the ‘net curtains’ or what remained of them were old, discoloured and had numerous holes in them! By far and away the worst room we have ever seen!

The room was over the road from the main hotel in an “annexe” which was not mentioned on our booking confirmation from Hotels.com and was accessed by a locked street gate which once in the building where our room was situated, was dark, dingy and the ‘en suite’ was down a corridor equally dark and dingy, not as part of our so called “deluxe room”.

We asked to see a “deluxe room” in the main hotel which was far more in keeping with what we would have expected. The receptionist said they didn’t have another “deluxe room” other than the one in the “annexe” they could give us and we said wanted our money refunded. She said she was unable to do that and had no superior she could ask. We left totally disgusted.

This is our 3rd visit touring Italy and we have never had such a bad experience.

Room tip: Do not book the deluxe quadruple room in the annexe

Stayed at the hotel for one night in July during the summer and I am not happy considering the price paid for a single night . The hotel only offers double rooms ( the guy at the reception said ) and having paid for a double room on B&B basis (for a single person ) I got the most tiniest room with not even a place to keep my luggage . It was like I was sleeping on the corridor of the hotel literally . There is no working elevator u have to drag ur bags up the stairs but the guy at the reception will help u . Breakfast is abysmal . The only nice thing about the hotel is the lovely view from the roof top .Also the hotel restaurant where I had a lovely meal for dinner .
Don’t let the pictures on the website fool u the hotel is so tiny .

This is quite a basic hotel, but in a brilliant position on the lake-side. All the staff were really friendly, and the restaurant is good and has a panoramic terrace - lovely for eating in the evening.

The rooms are quite basic, and when we arrived none of our rooms were as booked, and the system seemed chaotic!

That said, Como is a wonderful place to visit and the hotel (eventually) ticked the boxes!

We booked a standard room, which was small, but very modern, clean & a glimpse of the lake from our window. There were two bottles of water supplied in the refrigerator, but as with a lot of rooms in Italy, no kettle or tea/coffee. The ample buffet breakfast was served on the rooftop patio, with views of the lake, & good coffee. A very handy location to the bus station, ferry terminals, funicular, town & restaurants. About a 20-25 minute walk to the train station.

We did a bit of research to find a hotel in Como and this one ticked the boxes. The hotel is small and the rooms are small, but this is Europe. Our room overlooked the lake ( we asked for this) and the view was wonderful, as we were 30 meters from the lake. Our bathroom was nearly as big as our bedroom and was very functional. We had parking right outside the front door. There is no elevator but one of the staff carried up our suitcase. We could walk to the Old Town in five minutes at snails pace.So far, this is just another good small hotel. The BIG difference is that this hotel has the most wonderful restaurant between the hotel and the lake. We had breakfast ( provided ) lunch and dinner here for our entire stay. The food was great with a large variety of dishes to suit every taste. We had no need to look for somewhere else to eat, the food was so good. In addition, the staff were great. The owners were also around all the time and were very hands on. Every meal included conversations with who ever was on duty at this time. We would like to thank George,Gorkan,Rass, Michel and the two Marcos for a great time. Try this out for yourself. We would happily stay here again.
