I just spent three nights in Bellagio at the Il Borgo apartments, traveling with a five-person group. We took two separate apartments, one studio on the second floor and a loft-style apartment on the third floor.
I cannot say enough good things about Flavio, the owner. He was welcoming, kind, and responsive to our needs. He met us in the piazza and explained the small things in the apartments, but was not at all overbearing, as some Italian landlords have the tendency to be.
The location itself, a small and scenic sidestreet in downtown Bellagio, was ideal, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable for such an excellent location in an expensive tourist town.
As for amenities, there were both Italian- and American-style coffeemakers (with filters!), plenty of clean sheets, towels, and blankets. The kitchen, with a two-burner stove, had pots and pans, but was missing essentials like salt, pepper, and olive oil.
I would, and will, happily go back.More
