“Great wine, great food”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

After reading great reviews of this place, we stopped by for dinner one evening during our recent stay in Bellagio. We took up the waiter's offer of a set course wine pairing dinner and thoroughly enjoyed each and every course, along with all the wines. A definite must-visit!

“Fantastic Wine Bar”
Reviewed May 5, 2013 via mobile

We called in here at the end of a wonderful day out in Bellagio and it ended up being the perfect end to the day. We didn't do a tasting but instead had a glass each of the Pinot Nero Adorno (€4) as recommended by the staff member on duty. It was bought out in a beautiful glass and was surprisingly accompanied by Olives, Salami and Bread. We were very happy and hope to call back again for a longer session of tasting. Highly recommended.

“Please don't go here...”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

Please don't go here- because you'll ruin it for me the next time I go! I'd hate for it to be over run by tourists! It was raining consistently on my friends' only day in the Lake Como area and after wandering around Bellagio we found this little spot right off the main drag of town. This place is unbelievable. It's a little cave like wine cellar. Two girls were working that afternoon. They were instantly welcoming. They spoke great English and spoke to me in Italian so that I could work on my spoken language. They offer several wine tasting menus at fair prices. They'll explain where each wine is from and any other interesting characteristics about it. We had the meats and cheese platter for two and the pizzocheri, a buckwheat pasta traditional in the mountainous region of northern Italy. Everything was fantastic. The atmosphere is great, food great, and wine excellent. And they even have a nice restroom, which can be hard to come by in Italy at times. If you promise to keep this place a secret, you can go- but don't tell any other tourists! ; ) Seems like they've got this classified as an attraction, but it should definitely be under restaurants! They offer more than enough food to qualify!

“Great place to buy and try wine!”
Reviewed March 30, 2013 via mobile

A store we bought scarves at in Bellagio recommended this place, and we were so glad. We like our wine and were exposed to several new ones. I tried the tasting of wines from the area and really enjoyed it. We also had a nice plate of cheese and ham.

“Can't wait to go back!!”
Reviewed February 3, 2013

We spent an amazing day in Bellagio in August 2012, exploring the cobbled streets and relaxing on the steps with our feet in the lake. Our day was rounded off perfectly by a visit to Enoteca Cava Turacciolo. The food was fantastic and each course was complimented with a different glass of wine. The friendly staff explained (in English for us, but also in other languages for other guests) the background behind each wine, and the reason it went with the food so well. We're not wine experts at all, but could taste exactly what they were talking about. The atmosphere in the cellar was wonderful, very laid back. We can't rate this place highly enough, and have not stopped talking and reminiscing about it since we got home. We are returning to Lake Como this summer and cannot wait to visit Enoteca Cava Turacciolo again with our friends. :-)
