I go back to Bellagio Hotel every year. The view from the bedroom window never fails to amaze me come rain or shine. The lake is beautiful all the year round.
The hotel is very clean and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble!
There is plenty to do and see in Bellagio.
Clients can also use the Bellagio Sporting Club - tennis and swimming
I look forward to my next visit

Room Tip: I suggest you always try to book a room overlooking the lake

Just returned from a fabulous week at The Belvedere Hotel in Bellagio. It's THE place to be. Great Location and panoranic views from the hotel of the lake and mountains. The food is excellen; "Cordon Bleu", the rooms spacious and inviting. The service is beyond compare and the pool and gardens are just right for a relaxing holiday....or if you prefer the short walk to the exquisite town of Bellagio there is so much to see and do and boat trops galore. It's a wonderful place and I recommend it with praise. Book it and you will be, as we are, - forever grateful for a great holiday experience.

OK, first, the 38 steps are not a big deal. And if you plan on walking around Bellagio, you better get used to steps.

Room is quaint, very small bathroom, but did not expect much more for a budget hotel (and based on what we paid, and the costs at some of the surrounding hotels, it was worth the small bathroom, and an AMAZING deal). The room itself was actually larger than I had expected. Not noisy at all (and if it is, just close the outside shutters). The large bed was actually 2 beds pushed together, but that did not pose a problem. Firm mattress, so those looking to sleep on clouds may be bothered.

Staff was EXTREMELY helpful, answered all of my questions, made great recommendations to eat, adjusted the tempreture in our room as soon as requested and even helped a German couple re-book their flight home.

The breakfast was a bit sparse- whole fruit, cereal, croissants, coffee, not much else, which was fine for our 3 day stay.

By no means is it a 5-star hotel, but they do not advertise as such- it is a very nice hotel located in one of the most beautiful places in Italy. If you want to save a few euro to spend on other amenities (such as gellato) this is the perfect spot.

Room Tip: Book VERY early so you can get a room with a lake view.

This is a great little place. We stayed in a lake view room (402) and it had two massive arched windows with amazing views over the rooftops up and down the lake, The bonus, press what looked like a lights switch and the windows opened electrically. The room itself was clean and moden and overall a good size for Italy, the bathroom similar with a small shower. Breakfast is self service and can be eaten on the terrace every morning, the location is superb for everything apart from getting luggage in and out (cobble steps are the only way in) and I will certainly be coming back. 165 Euros for lake view room was very good value.

Room Tip: Do the extra 15 Euros for a stunning lake view

We stayed at the Hotel Bellagio as a present for my husbands 40th birthday. What you must remember is that this hotel is only 2 stars, however this is by far the best 2 star hotel I've ever stayed in! We were greeted upon our arrival by two very friendly members of staff and I must say that staff within the hotel, whether they be kitchen, reception or cleaning staff were all friendly for the entirity of our stay.

Our room was fairly small and at the back of the hotel (so unfortunately no view) but this was to be expected as we'd only paid the budget room rate. As others have said the double was two singles pushed together but although mattresses were a little hard they were suitable enough. The room was very clean and tidy and was cleaned with bed made on a daily basis. We did have a problem on our 3rd day when we woke up to no running water but we informed reception who said they were working on the problem and lo and behold it was all fixed upon our lunchtime return.

Breakfast was buffet style and this was very nice, unfortunately though, there are no facilities for lunch or dinner within the Hotel Bellagio but you are directed to use their sister hotel, Hotel du Lac. We ate under the portico here on two occasions and the service was terrible!

My only minor faults with the hotel and room are firstly that there is no kettle or drink making facilities within the room and the hairdryer is pretty much useless as you have to constantly keep the button held down whilst drying your hair making any form of styling pretty much impossible! As others have said there can be a little problem from noisy guests at times but I think this is just dependant upon the residents at the time rather than any particular issue with thin walls etc.

On the whole the Hotel Bellagio was lovely and located in an ideal position for touring the town of Bellagio. This is definitely a hotel I would use again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with lake view, take hairdryer!

After traveling Paris, London, Rome, Cinque Terre - was looking forward to Lake Como, but the hotel was a major disappointment. Tiny bathroom, walls marked and dirty, king bed was two twins that had seen better days. Several requests for air conditioning resulted in no improvement. Leaving early as any other hotel will be better.

Even a shop owner in town shook his head when we mentioned our hotel.

Wish others had been more accurate or discerning with their reviews before we selected this hotel.

We stayed here in mid-May, 2011. The rooms were a bit small but updated as well as the bathroom. Comfortable with gorgeous views of the lake. Recommend floors 3 and 4 for the best views. Floor 3 has some rooms with small balconies. The windows scroll down electrically which is great for letting in air, but keep in mind the mosquitos will love you. We didn't have A.C. as the electric company hadn't turned it on yet, but it cooled down late in the evening and we were quite comfortable. We found all the bed in Italy no matter where we stayed were very firm and the pillows not as full as we have at home in America typically. But all in all, comfortable, quaint, nicely decorated, updated. The little town itself if very charming. Breakfast was basic stuff but nice and good coffee. The hotel itself was easy to find once we got off the boat. Make sure to wear flat shoes on the steps.

Room Tip: Get a 3rd or 4th Floor Room
