My husband and I spent four nights at Giamoco's Hotel Centrale and couldn't have been more impressed. We were surprised to find the hotel even more wonderful than we had expected! Giacomo is a delightful host with funny and touching stories about his home and upbringing (he was literally born in the hotel!). He is self-deprecating, modest and genguine, just an adorable person. Our room (301) was like something from a postcard, completely charming. The breakfasts that his son put together were delicious - and I loved the hearts on the cappuccinos! The entire family is so friendly and warm. He researched our departure back to Rome and got us there in a much easier manner than we arrived. I almost wish we had spent the entire Italian trip in Bellagio. It felt like staying with friends in their home. If you want stuffy and stoic, go somewhere else. If you want warm and welcoming, go to Hotel Centrale. Thanks, Borelli Family for the best vacation ever!

This is the best find in town. The rooms were small by American standards, but because there were only 2 of us, it was perfect. The continental breakfast was full of fruits, breads, cereals, meats, cheeses, yogurts...everything fresh and delicious. You walk through a lovely garden to get to the reception area. The owner and his 2 sons were always on hand to answer questions and recommend restaurants. The hotel is just a few steps down to the shore, where you can find many reaturants, shops, and shuttles to the other towns around the lake. All the towns were, of course, beautiful, but Bellagio has a quiet quaintness to it. Just a note, if you're driving, go through Lecco, not Commo. The road is much better! Absolutely loved our stay and would definitely come back to this hotel again.

We stayed for three nights at the Hotel Centrale and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is centrally located within Bellagio and gives great access to the lake front and all the wonderful shops and restaurants within the town. (There are a few steps to climb though for those with mobility issues).

The hotel itself is small and maintains a personal touch lost at larger establishments. The rooms are a good size for the area (we were in 106) and were well enough equipped.
The hotel serves a good breakfast in the morning which was included in the price of our room. There is a small patio area available for use by all guests which is a great place to relax in the afternoon.

The hotel is well maintained and all the staff are extremely friendly.

Overall the Hotel Centrale is a great place to stay in Bellagio provided you don't need all the extra facilities (swimming pool etc) that come within a MUCH higher price bracket.

Wonderful little hotel in central Bellagio. The host, Giacomo, is very gracious. He was a major help in helping us get our lost baggage. We will go back.

Just returned from our holiday and this Hotel was our favourite, with out exception. Lovely people, great rooms, perfect location. We would often buy a small bottle of wine, some cheese and bread and enjoy it in the lovely courtyard before heading off to dinner. I agree with the other comments regarding this hotel, a real gem.
