Good food, good staff, great place to stay with a $$$$$ view of the Lake.Stayed for 3 nights, staff were very helpful and accommodating, food were all good for breakfast and other times. Just a little hot in the room since the fan broke and the aircon wasn't cool enough other wise it is a great place to stay. I plan to stay there again if I will be back.

We were two couples staying in this apartment which is in a perfect location overlooking the lake and across from the ferry terminal. The large terrace area had a magnificent view and was a great place to relax at the end of the day. There were lots of restaurants and shops up the many lane-ways nearby. The apartment was a good size but was sparsely furnished and could do with a little more to make it comfortable. Although our handover was quite rushed, staff at the Hotel Silvio were very responsive to any queries,

Spotlessy rooms, hotel & restaurant. Fabulous views from our room and great start in the morning with a superb breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff, both at the reception and at the restaurant downstairs. Free parking (a plus in Bellagio) Highly recommended !

enjoyed 2 nights at this hotel away from the town but within walking distance. Helpful staff & a very good breakfast buffet complete with your own fresh orange juice. If you phone the hotel when you arrive in Bellagio they will come & pick you up & also return you to the ferry terminal on departure although we weren't aware of this prior to our arrival. Restaurant dining at the hotel is expensive for what you get. Better eating places in Verenna.

Room Tip: So many beautiful views in & around Lake Como you don't really need to pay extra for a room...

Whilst the room was spotless, and the staff friendly, we were unfortunately left with a less than wonderful impression of the hotel.
Be warned!! If the temperature is less than 25 degrees outside, the air con is switched off- with no way of turning it on! To top it off, our ceiling fan was broken, so we could not use this. If we were to open the window, as previous posts have suggested, we were either kept awake from the noise of the road (although not busy, any vehicle noise was more than enough to wake us), or eaten alive from the mosquitoes. We had a very early start to the airport, made much less easy by having a sum total of 3 hours very restless, sticky sleep.
The position of the hotel is slightly out of the town- a walk through the gardens is beautiful, but costs €6 each a day. Other than that, you have to face a narrow road, with no path in places.
Overall, not a hotel we would return to. Disappointing.

We had enjoyed staying at Silvio's and beautiful Bellagio for a few years so it seemed the logical choice for my daughter's wedding when she became engaged. In conjunction with Lido, which they own as well, we created the most beautiful and special wedding imaginable. This was thanks to Christiane the owner of Silvio, his staff and the wonderful Manuele Beretta the manager at Lido. So many of the staff including Laura took such a personal interest in making the day incredible and every detail was perfect. They all made sure that every effort was made to make guests welcome and turn both venues into magical settings. We started with the ceremony at Lido overlooking the water and surrounded by sandy beach. Afterwards the staff whisked away the chairs and supplied a wonderful DJ for the reception. Dancing, drinks and canapés and then away by boat for dinner at Silvio's in the dining room with the most incredible view of Lake Como. After the wedding cake we all returned by boat to the Lido which was very beautifully set up for our champagne party with their Italian revival band getting everyone up dancing and celebrating not only the wedding but Italy and Lake Como. It was a day to remember. Most guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been invited to. Beautiful Bellagio gets a lot of credit for that but so do all who contributed to making it very special at Silvio's and Lido. They put their whole hearts into realising the vision we had of the wedding. We thank them with all our hearts.

My new husband and I arrived in bellagio for the first night of our honeymoon. We were picked up from the ferry dock by the hotel staff which was a great touch. We had no additional treats with it being our honeymoon not even a glass o persecco!
We had booked the suite which was a beautiful room with a great view, however the 2 rooms next door would have offered the same view as the balcony was pretty much shared and no doubt those rooms were cheaper!
Hadn't quite realised the walk in and out of town! Yes the gardens were beautiful to walk through as described but came at a cost! The lido was closed for the 6 days of our stay despite the weather being beautiful still. We didn't find the hotel staff had great knowledge on local activities or places to go, information they gave us was often wrong.
We ate in the restaurant on a few nights, mostly to save the walk into town! Food was good, staff were miserable. Also think the hotels manager sacked someone in the garden one night....viewed from the restaurant! Although entertaining more than the restaurant staff not that professional!
Bellagio defiantly the best place to stay in como, but consider your hill walking skills and length of stay prior to booking up! 3 days more than adequate!

Dear Guest,
If you are certainly right to state our suites share the same view with superior rooms, as well as that superior rooms next door are cheaper that suites, it is just because they offer a number of additional amenities in comparison: much bigger size for both the rooms itself and the bathroom, ultramodern furnishing, king size poster bed, minibar etc.

Regarding information services provided by the reception staff, we rely on our local tourist office for most of what our Guest may be interested in during their stay. For specific or very detailed information on some matters we usually suggest to visit the local tourist office which may provide more or more detailed information.
We always try to do our best so that our Guests get the most out of their time in Bellagio in terms of activities and quality of their holiday. We are sorry something may resulted imprecise.

The Lido beach was closed as the temperature dropped during the second half of September, and although being still sunny the beach remained empty for several days before being closed for the end of the summer season.
We also remind that we offer a free shuttle service to/from the centre as an alternative to walking along the main road or through the Villa Melzi Gardens, we are sorry you didn't consider this opportunity during your stay.

To conclude, as far as we know nobody has been sacked for the last 3 years...! You may have misunderstood... :-)
