“Scenery not to be missed!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2012

We stayed here in September 2012 and it was the highlight of our Italian holiday. Situated out of Bellagio on a hill overlooking Lake Como, the scenery was to die for! The facilities in the room were well appointed and spacious and the bed comfortable.(We had the room with the little private garden attached which was ideal for sunbathing with a glass of Prosecco!). The staff are most helpful and run a shuttle bus to Bellagio hourly, however, we found the walk easy enough during the day (approx 30 mins) and visited the Villa Melzi gardens on the way into town. Sorry to leave and wished we had booked for a much longer stay. We'll be back!

Room Tip: We had the room with the little garden courtyard attached. Ideal for relaxing on the sunloungers.

We stayed here in April 2012 and this was one of the highlights of our Italy/France trip.

Unbeknownst to me (who had booked the hotel), my boyfriend at the time secretly arranged with the hotel to have one of the best rooms that overlooked lake como - the perfect place to propose ;-) Their service was wonderful and the view has to be seen to be believed.

The rooms are lovely - simple but nicely furnished and with everything you need. The breakfast spread was more than sufficient and again, the views!!

The winding roads are interesting to navigate but worth the trip. The pool was closed when we were there (it was freezing!) but it looked delightful and drinks on the terrace in summer would be fantastic. Even in the cold drizzly weather we had in April, this place was great.

If you go, you must have dinner cooked by Luigi Gandola at his restaurant Salice Blu - just superb. They will arrange transfers to save you driving.

Room Tip: Room 9 has uninterrupted views straight out over Lake Como. A delight!

This was the highlight of a two week tour of northern Italy. The views you get overlooking Lake Como staying at this hotel are phenomenal. It's set up on a hill and you really do get a 180 degree stunning view from your balcony, it really can't be faulted.

The hotel itself was absolutely lovely, quite new and modern but still comfortable and cosy. The bathroom was well appointed which a great shower and we made full use of the kitchen in our studio which was well stocked with all cutlery, plates, pots and pans needed to cook. It was lovely to make dinner and sit out on the balcony and eat in the evening as a change to eating out.

The hotel is a little bit out of the way, but we drove into Bellagio for a few hours to potter around (you can use their free shuttle which runs every hour) and one evening a local restaurant shuttled us to and from their place for dinner which was good and arranged through the hotel.

We were genuinely sad to leave and will definitely return one day.

Room Tip: All the rooms have amazing panoramic views so you really can't go wrong, but aim for one on a hi...

Set on a hill a drive out of Bellagio, with a remarkable view across Lake Como and to the Mountains beyond. Great welcome. Rooms are a mixture of standard and suite. We had a junior suite, but it was really just a room with a bit of space. Uninterrupted view with a small balcony.

Breakfast was good, and snacks were available.

Dinner in town was a drive away, or there was a shuttle service to the bottom of Bellagio, though the best Restaurants were a long walk away from the dropping point.

The best thing about this hotel is a the view. A wide, sweeping, panarama across the lake and Como, up to Bellagio to the North. All the rooms have their own balcony with the same, gorgeous view.

The rooms themselves were lovely- well presented and with great facilities. The pool is nice, fresh and perfect for an evening dip to cool off after a long day on the streets of Bellagio.

So why not five stars? Well there are a few of really small negatives- it would be good to have a little more informmation on how to get to Borgo le Terrazze from Bellagio (this might just be the website we went through), and on site services could be a little better (eg a restaurant as it is a short distance from the nearest village)

However, the quality of the view and service make this place well worth a visit!

Room Tip: I think they all have a good view!

The hotel situated on a hill with a spectacular view, I mean spectacular, from every room. From your balcony, you can enjoy sweeping lake view on both side with Alps is in distance. Fro the comment, we entered the hotel, we fell in love with it. The biggest regrets is that we can only stay for short period. In a historical town, new hotel rare. This one not only has the stunning view, but also has very comfortable room with nice design. The bed is large and very comfortble. The service is excellent, we love the daily breakfast. I can not think i would stay in any other place in lake como.

Room Tip: Book well in advance, you won't be disappointed

We stayed in a lakeview large studio, which was technically not a studio because the bedroom was separated by a door. The room could have accommodated 4, but there were just 2 of us so plenty of room. We viewed the lake from 2 terraces and a third door/window. The kitchen facilities were great for our own breakfast and to cook dinner. Parking was easy rather than dealing with Bellagio's crowded lots and we took advantage of the shuttle service on two separate occasions. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful: finding a local supermarket, suggesting towns to visit and routes to follow, printing boarding passes. We highly recommend Borgo Le Terrazze!
