“Lovely hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2014 via mobile

We stayed here for 3 nights - unfortunately it rained quite a lot which spoiled our trip a little but the hotel is lovely. A bit of a trek into the main centre but we prefer to stay in a quiet area to get good sleep. The room was small but clean and bed was comfortable. Because it is in a quiet area we could sleep with the windows open. Breakfast was very good with excellent selection. Would definitely return. Bellagio itself is beautiful - easy to spend all day eating and drinking just meandering through the town from one bar/restaurant to another! Lots of boat trips available to visit other towns - boats work like buses with timetables and open returns any time the same day. Perfect for 3/4 day stay.

We spent two nights at this lovely B&B and hope to return for a longer stay. The owner was lovely and our room overlooked the lake - perfect spot for coffee on the balcony in the morning. Later in the day the garden is ideal for reading, a cool glass of wine and just relaxing - very quiet after a week in Paris. The owner was very helpful with directions and recommendations for restaurants... Take a taxi when you arrive - the first time is a little tricky and you're going uphill.
The breakfast has something for everyone - the pastries are delicious.
The rooms are comfortable and very clean.
We had no problems with wi-fi

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view of the lake

We had a lovely stay at the Miralago. The hostess was lovely and made us feel welcome. She was helpful to us throughout our stay. The location was lovely with views overlooking Lake Como. The town of Bellagio was a 10 minute walk some uphill but not too difficult. The breakfast was very satisfying and you couldn't want for more. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to others.

We had a lovely stay in Bellagio. This B&B was OK: Not overly inviting, not particularly friendly reception or follow up. No real presence while staying there. The breakfasts were nice, not exceptional - hard boiled eggs, cheeses, cereal and cakes.
We had a great deal of difficulty with Wi-Fi through-out our stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony. There is a decent public area outdoors, but if it is raining, like it...

Our stay here was just perfect after the bustle of busy Paris. Beautiful little boutique hotel. Very clean and tastefully decorated room with a lovely balcony and view on to the lake. The breakfast was amazing with the best pastries and cakes I have had in 3 European countries. Warm apple strudel, plum tart and apple cakes to die for. Lots of lovely fruits and cold meats and cheeses too. Staff friendly and eager to please and very peaceful. Highly recommended. Only downside is the shower is tiny and the room a little small but the view made up for it all!

The Miralago sits a short distance outside the main hustle and bustle of Bellagio on a quiet street which ends at another hotel/restaurant. It is not a through route so traffic is minimal and therefore very peaceful.
The owner of the hotel is really lovely and she was so helpful and friendly. She recommended several places to go and some restaurants and had we been in Bellagio for longer we could have tried more of them. We only stayed two nights but wished it was longer.
Our room had a lake view and could best be described as 'compact' with a very small bathroom and just enough space to move around provided my wife and I shared the space with some thought !! If you want a room with space for clutter and lots of suitcases this is not the place for you. If you don't mind sharing the space in a spotlessly clean room with all the necessary facilities then this is just fine. For stays of a week or longer you may want something a bit larger. There was no a/c in the room but it was not a problem as a fan was sufficient. The rooms have free wifi that works well.
Breakfast is superb with so many choices of cereals, breads, cheeses etc etc. There was a bigger selection than some large mainstream hotels we've stayed in.
Parking was limited within the garden area to about 5 cars but the street is very quiet and parking on-street would be no problem. There is a very small nightly charge to park in the garden area.
Location as stated above is in a lovely quiet spot facing east onto Lake Como. To get into the main part of the town takes approximately 10-15 mins by the shortest route depending how quickly you can climb steps ! Bellagio has thousands of steps both in the town and around it, most of which are made of small cobbles. So ladies, it's flat shoes and no stilettos for the walk into and around the town. The walk into town is not really for those with limited mobility or who struggle with climbing and descending hundreds of steps. We found it fine and it was a good way to walk off dinner, but for a smoother path the walk around the road would be easier, slightly flatter, but longer (about 20-25mins) at a gentle stroll.
We loved staying at this hotel and the little quirks such as the small bathroom were no problem. The enthusiasm of the owner is infectious and she went out of her way to help other guests. She ran one couple into town in her own car as they could not wait for the rain to stop one evening and insisted on transport for the short journey. We would recommend the Miralago without hesitation and will definitely return on our next trip to Lake Como.

Room Tip: Lake view rooms can be small but some are larger if you ask. The apartments owned by the same owner...

Miralago is an excellent choice in Bellagio. It is located on a peaceful street near Pescallo bay, some 10-15 minutes by walking from the Bellagio center. The owners are very friendly and helpful and the breakfest served in the backyard garden is probably the best I've had in Italy. Only minus comes from the lack of a proper AC - there was a fan in our room, but in the July that wasn't quite enough. Otherwise, the room was clean and quiet.
