We stayed at Hotel Miralgo for 4 nights in July 2013. What can I say. When we walked into our room we saw the breathtaking view out of the window and couldn't believe our eyes! It made the very long train trip from Nice worthwhile.
The room and bathroom are bit small, but this is pretty standard in Italy, and the view made up for it. We spent heaps of time relaxing on our balcony soaking up the view and peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious, lots to chose from. Everything was freshly baked every morning.
Everything was clean, receptionist very helpful recommending restaurants and short cut to the main town centre. It is about a 10 minute walk up and down lots of stairs but we loved it, good exercise after enjoying all of that Italian food. And there was so much beautiful scenery on the walk, quaint terraces, houses, paths etc.
There is a great restaurant 2 minutes walk down the same road that the hotel is on, really cosy and lovely view...and the food was to die for! Not cheap. Ask at the hotel as they recommended us to go.

The location of the hotel is a bit out of the centre, but we loved that because where we were was so very peaceful and tranquil, and as I mentioned earlier getting to the centre was walkable.

I wouldn't hesitate recommending this place to anyone looking for that special place to experience the real Lake Como, and/or travelling on a budget, and enjoys walks!. You won't regret it. Ask for an lake view room on the top floor.

Travelled July 2013 as a couple.

Room Tip: Ask for an lake view room on the top floor.

We stayed for 4 nights at the end of May and were greeted by the very friendly and informative hotel owner who provided us with lots of tips and information on Bellagio. The rooms were of a good size, very clean and comfortable.

It is located within walking distance to Bellagio and we were treated to an excellent breakfast each morning with freshly brewed coffee. The staff were always very helpful and gave us a lift to the ferry terminal on our last day.

Room Tip: Second floor room with balcony facing the lake would be very nice

The Miralago is a good little B&B whose owners are very obliging and helpful. We had a lake view room with an amazing view from the balcony, which compensated for the fact it was a little small and basic. The place is spotlessly clean with fresh towels every day. There is no tea or coffee facilities in the room but you can have drinks bought to your room anytime between 10am and 10pm, they have delicious cappuccinos which come with little pastries. You can also by wine, prosecco, coke etc from reception at a reasonable price.
The best bit though was the breakfast which offered an exceptional selection of fruit, meats, cheeses, croissants pastries and cakes. I have very high standards when it comes to food and everything I ate here was delicious and of very high quality.
The Miralago is situated in pretty Pescallo Bay which is a 5 / 10 min walk from the main bustle of Bellagio however the route in is a tough slog and anyone with disabilities would struggle with the steps. Having said that much of the area involves a climb.
We were more than happy with our stay at the Miralago and would recommend it to others without qualm.

Room Tip: Go for a room with a lake view

My husband and I travelled to Italy over the last couple of weeks staying at many b&b's. Hotel Nuovo Miralago is unparalleled. I still dream about the fresh-made breakfast each morning. The brioche was the best we've ever had. Beautiful location, steps away from Pescallo Bay and Bellagio Water Sports where we kayaked one morning. Loved this place.

The hotel room was very tired, but clean and basic. The owner of the hotel was friendly, she kindly took her time to explain us what to see in the area. The breakfast was excellent, with a variety of homemade cakes every day, continental breakfast, eggs, fruit, fresh Italian coffee and also gluten-free options. It is very close to the Bellaggio port / centre by car. It is not very cheap for the room and service standard. But this is common in Italy!

Room Tip: Try to book a room with a balcony, upstairs.
