We ate here and shared a few drinks after reading all the reviews on TA.
delighted we did.
We had a lovely meat and cheese platter here.
Also a very tasty caprese salad.
finished off with some lovely chocolates and a lovely italian liquor.
had some nice banter with the guy running the place whose knowledge on various wines was apparent, he recommended a lovely bottle of Chianti for us which we really enjoyed
certainly worth it place as no1 in Bellagio

we tasted here a wine which was recommended by the man who was servicing us that day... It was Barbera di Asti - Stradivario from a winery called Bava.. this is the best Barbera I ever tried in my life.. on the 2nd day we went back to buy this wine and take it with us home but the place was closed (they close every tuesday) ;-(( we were really sad for this. the food is very delicious and the atmosphere is very nice, it was crowded even it was not the high season yet...

This wine bar is run by a lovely couple, Franco (wine) and Jay (food). Wine is the star here, and Franco has a prodigious knowledge. Food is secondary, but excellent never the less, with an uncanny knack of marrying particular food and wine well.

We requested a “full bodied red, dry, and fruity”. The La Lepre Diano D’Alba DOCG 2011 Fontanafreddo at 19 EUR was perfect.

And then the mixed Italian cheeses (10 EUR) – fabulous. Franco explained each cheese and the order in which we should eat them: the 3 local cheeses - goat’s cheese, nostranello, and taleggio; followed by parmigiano vacche rosse, pecorino di Pienza Etrusco, and finally the gorgonzola DOP valsassina. Utterly superb, and served with local honey.

So - 4 aqua (6 Euro), 3 bean and pasta soup (19.50E), 1 bottle of Dolcetto La Lepre 11 (19E), cheeses (10E); a bottle of Nebbiolo Marne Brune (20E); 3 x Bic Morsi Diuce Zibibo Sicilia (5 cl) at 3E/glass; 1 Marramiero Incanto 2009 Montepulciano D’Abruzzo (10 cl); and 2 x enormous affogato al cafe (8E). We left a 15 EUR tip.

Highly recommended!

We were in Bellagio for five days and we tried alot of restaurants both for lunch and dinner. Our favourite became this place! The best atmosphere and very friendly staff with good service. Not so many dishes but the ones they have are very tasty and at a good price. You should try the the oven made Aubergine with ham in tomatoe sauce!

Here is a short movie from the place;

This place was disappointing. All as we did was wait and wait and then the food was sorely disappointing. The staff only cared about texting and chatting. Much better places to go.
