“Excellent stay in bergamo area”
Reviewed November 17, 2012 via mobile

Two very nice flats split in two levels for rent near the center of bergamo's citta bassa cituated inside a charming patio.kitchen, living room and bathroom at ground level and sleeping area on the first floor.relatively new built very clean and tidy and superb owner Luca that came to pick us up from the airport for half the price of a local taxi and without the hassle.only drawback was the heating that could be working better and the reception of the Internet that should be stronger but all in all a fabulous stay.thanks Luca!

I booked this accommodation for a three night stay on the strength of the Trip Advisor reviews and they were all truthful but thought it worthwhile adding a few additional comments.

I booked direct with Luca and Laura and their communication was great. I was even offered a pick up from the airport without having to ask...which was greatly appreciated.

The accommodation was my own apartment with front door opening onto a lovely courtyard...this consisted of a fully equipped kitchen area and lounge with TV and a double sofa bed. Leading off was a stylish bathroom which looked to have been newly installed. Upstairs under the eaves was a large bedroom with ample storage space and a comfortable bed.

The only negative for me was that although I stayed there three days the towels were not changed and the bed not made up...it really is a holiday rental rather than a B&B... which is great if thats what you are expecting but I was not really prepared for it myself.

However it is a charming place and lovely owners...so give it a try.

A little hard to find on foot, but well worth the effort. The apartment was lovely and well furnished. The upstairs bedroom was quiet and comfortable. In fact, it was the best bed of my 3-week trip! The owners had anticipated any need and had stocked the apartment with not only dishes, cooking pots and pans, towels and toiletries, but also dish soap and a selection of foods for breakfast (a light Italian one, of course) and lunch. The directions to a market and to the upper city were accurate and concise. Check-in was easy and quick, as was check-out.
It was heartwarming to see the happy children play in the courtyard--with their obvously affectionate dad.

This is not a common room hotel, it's a small apartment. You have kitchen, dinning room, leaving room and one king size bed upstairs (this was the room we used, so I don't know about the other apartments, ask them if you need something else). The apartment is fully furbished with good taste and everything was very clean, in fact it looked like brand new. The apartment is completely independent from the main house so you will enjoy total privacy during your stay.

Since Bergamo is not a big city, you can reach almost everywhere from the Hotel. It's a little bit tricky to find the street where this hotel is located so try to use a very detailed map or a GPS (I used a GPS since I went there by car), or just ask a local.

What me and my girlfriend did was to stay in this hotel and go to Milano for a one day trip and get back since is not far (only 50 minutes). The rest of our time we used it for visiting Bergamo.

The owners (Luca and his family) are really friendly and kind and they ask you everyday if everything is ok or if you need something.

This is a family owned hotel so it would be better if you email them beforehand and let them know the time of your arrival.

Room Tip: Email them before your arrival.

Bergamo is good place to be quiet a weekend. Milan is about 2 hours by train. The hotel is about 10-15 minutes walking to the train station and something furhter to the old city center. The room is brand new, lot of space in 2 floors, and dinning room + kitchen, and the bed up in the second floor. Yo can be living quite independet.

This was our first B&B experience and based on it, I would be happy to choose it more often. We flew to Milan and needed an accommodation for 1 night on our way to Austria. For total 85 euros (inc. parking) this was a real find.

We stayed in 2 floor 1br apartment Lavinia which was gorgeous. Competes with many 4-5 star hotels with the interior design. The apartment was newly renovated with good taste. Everything functioned very well. Check in and check out were done professionally but without hotel stiffness. The kitchen equipment is limited but had all we needed (to warm food for our baby). We don´t cook ourselves when on a holiday but for some this might be a problem. Breakfast is the only thing I was expecting more. Luca brought us fresh croissants and bread but it would have been perfect if there had been a proper breakfast in the beautiful inner yard.

We didn´t plan to visit Bergamo but went for a morning walk and found ourselves from the older part of Bergamo. The location of the B&B is in the lower part of town but an easy walk from older part. After the one night in La Corte Dei Cappuccini I wish I could have stayed for longer.

Would I return? Without a doubt. Not only because Bergamo seemed interesting for a longer visit but also because the price for the quality of La Corte Dei Cappuccini was excellent. Luca and Laura, you do a great job.

We came across La Corte by accident as our original B&B had a room "problem" and couldn't accommodate us - what luck!
Situated in the lower new town (still 16th century) La Corte is Palazzo style with newly refurbished quality apartments accommodating up to 4 persons. The accommodation comprised of a lounge diner (convertible bed settee),with fully equipped kitchenette, original exposed beams and state of the art TV. Also on the ground floor is a high spec enormous shower room and toilet with bidet and double height ceiling. Upstairs comprised of an open plan, loft style, minimalist bedroom, with cherry wood floors and exposed beams. An enormous ultra comfortable bed, as good as, if not better than many 5 star hotels completed the picture.
The breakfast was DIY Italian style with coffee, preserves, toast etc. though the kitchen could easily cope with a full English or a 3 course meal, if required.
The owner couldn't be more helpful, with restaurant recommendations (all first class and good value) and even running us back to the airport for our return flight.
5 star accommodation and service.
