“Perfect place for a weekend”
Reviewed April 25, 2011

Nice clean hotel, perfectly located near shops, bars....It is great for a weekend break. Nice staff. Excellent breakfast!
You can get to upper Bergamo by bus (bus stop in front of a hotel) or on foot (ca. 30 min - very nice walk!).
If you live in Northern or Central Europe, you should come to Bergamo in April to feel real spring.

We have spent two nights in this hotel which I find very convenient because there is a direct bus to the airport and a direct bus to the Old city too.
Moreover, apart from visiting I have done also some shopping in new Bergamo which is just near the hotel.
Apart from the good location, I can say that the service is very nice and the personal is very friendly.
The place itself is charming because in the past the building were hosting a convent.
I have found the room confortable and nicely decorated.
Concerning the breakfast, I have enjoyed it too for the quality and the quantity.
To sum up we had a nice stay at Bergamo and we have taken advantage of an offer of both Ryanair and Best Western too!

We were extremely pleased with this hotel. On arrival we received an upgraded room with a complimentary bottle of prosecco. The room was spacious, clean, and well furnished and presented in an elegant style. Service was professional, polite and friendly, the public areas were well designed, smart and welcoming and the breakfast included hot and cold food in a pleasant dining room with a real fire.

Traveling in Northern Italy in November, need a central location to do day trips from this hotel is for you. They are centrally located in the New City close to shopping & restaurants. A Bus stop is in front of the hotel and the old city is just up the hill. Old town is not the place to hang out in the evening & night as most of the restaurants & businesses are closed early in winter.

Being one of the Premier BW properties, the hotel was clean, modern and friendly. Bathroom was a clean, good size, good towels and all fixtures worked well. The windows are soundproof but if you like to open them at night then ask for a room overlooking the center of the hotel, it is quieter than street side. Breakfast is ample with hot and cold items. Tea & coffee in the room. Pillows are hard but they have a selection of ergonomic ones that were much more comfortable. Free wifi is a plus.

I parked in a public parking lot under the NH Hotel around the corner. I would stay here again without hesitation.

As mentioned in other reviews this hotel has a perfect location, close to everything: Train, airport bus, funicular, shops, restaurants......

English speaking receptions, faultless service.

We found the rooms well equipped. On the ++ side details like waterboiler for coffe/tea, pillow menue to choose your perfect pillow and heathed towels. On the less pleasant side, the duvet between two sheets doesn`t seem very hygiengic.............it is very easy to tuck those sheets aside and surely the same thing happened to most of the previous guests.....disgusting!

The windows facing the busy mainstreet as well as a church which bells ringing all night are keeping the noise out. However if you are one of those people who need to sleep with the window open, ask for a room which not faces the street.

Breakfast was nice - wide selection of cakes and sweets, as well as youghurt, müsli, eggs, bacon, cold cuts and cheese. We did not try the restaurant for lunch or dinner - didn`t find the restaurant very cosy or charming, and plenty of options near by anyway. Also the lobby and the small bar is not very appealing, but not an issue for us as we did not want to spend time there anyway.

This elegant hotel offer a good location in the lower city but with an easy access to the upper city.
The hotel is also very well linked with the airport and the railways station.
The service is very attentive and the breakfast is excellent especially in Italy where usually you don't have a complete American/English breakfast.
