Comfortable, chic, friendly, helpful and quiet. We had a wonderful weekend. The rooms are relatively simple but elegant. The staff give the place a friendly family feel. They were very helpful in recommending places to go and to eat and drink. Getting here by car was relatively easy and they will park the car for you at no extra cost. The main shopping is nearby and there are lots of bars, cafes and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was a nice selection of fruit, yogurts and cakes and on a warm day the tables out in the courtyard are lovely.

Made to feel very welcome and the team were all most helpful and very attentive. Modern and comfortable bedroom. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice.Uta's apple strudel ( yes for breakfast!) simply delicious! Great location just minutes from the main shopping area and a good 25 minute brisk walk to Bergamo Alta with a choice of restaurants. Highly recommend this hotel.

Kudos to Uta and staff for providing the highest quality of hospitality while visiting area. From the moment you arrive the staff dote on you allowing total relaxation and appreciation of the area. Uta greeted us with a HUGE smile and took us to our room where she showed us everything to be comfortable. Uta was spot on for all the restaurants she referred us to take part in dining. They were spectacular!! In regard to attractions, Uta gave us the details and excellent in marking on map with directions. Rooms were great, clean, modern, and inviting. We returned from dinner with a tray of apertifs and handwritten note from Uta and staff. Breakfast was beyond expectations with fresh fruit, biscuits, and the usual Italian morning fare. Bergamo is a wonderful city to discover and next time we will plan more time and definitely return to the best B & B there.....Petronilla!!

Room Tip: Parking is right in front which is rare in Italy

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left Uta and her team did everything she could to make our stay special and memorable. The room was simply stylish with a large bathroom, fluffy bathrobes and rain shower effect shower. An inviting tray of biscuits and a welcome note awaited us in the double room. Uta made fabulous recommendations for making the most of a glorious spring day - and only a couple of hours after we had arrived we were soaking in the view and a glass of prosecco at a fabulous pizza restaurant at the very top of the city! The rest of the day was spent meandering around the beautiful lanes and peering into wonderful churches in the old city. a leisurely walk back to the hotel prepared us for a delicious dinner back at the hotel. Day two we ventured by train to Lake Como - pretty but the scenery not at it's best due to the overhanging cloud. Uta booked a terrific dinner for us in the main square of Bergamo - food was beautifully presented. Umbrellas, maps, friendly advice on how to make the best of our short stay were key to a successful visit. Hope to comeback and stay again soon!

this is a true gem of good service and good taste in the middle of a fascinating city. We were personally welcomed, a restaurant was booked for us -just in case- and the following morning a delicious breakfast was served in delightful room, we all had double helpings and almost missed our train, we should have stayed on one more day!

Everything good that others have said about this hotel and the staff is true. The famous Uta sent an email before we arrived and was on hand to welcome us, show us the room and generally make sure we got to see the best of the city. The room was extremely sylish, with really high-quality fittings and a big luxurious bathroom. The hotel is two minutes walk from a charming square where there are bars and restaurants, and in twenty minutes you can walk up the elegant cobbled streets to the Alta Citta.
Uta gave us great advice on where to go for dinner and to buy wine, and even had the business cards of both places in her desk so we knew where to go.
Breakfast was good, fine fresh fruit and a good selection of other tasty cereals, yoghurts, pastries, etc.
Bergamo is a super charming city. Even the dogs are elegant and look like they are having a grand and rather stylish time. One of the very few hotels that would encourage me to return just to stay there again.

Room Tip: The hotel is in a quiet street so all the rooms should be ok. Rooms at the back face away from the s...

A genuinely welcoming and relaxing boutique hotel, with classy contemporary rooms and a great line in breakfasts. With only 12 rooms the friendly service was great, be it booking us into restaurants, loaning a map of Milan, checking the airlines were running in the snow, or even tracking down a lost jumper and posting it back to the UK! The location was quiet but with restaurants and shops around the corner. It was a pleasant 15 minute walk from the funicular up to the Old Town, and similarly 15 mins from train station. A great place to spend a weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed.
