Just spent a very enjoyable day walking around the Hanbury Botanic Gardens in Italy. We were very fortunate to get a guided tour from the curator which brought the garden to life and provided us with a lot of the history of the garden and its founder Sir Thomas Hanbury. The garden is on quite a steep slope so some sensible walking shoes are required. There is a nice cafe/bar at the bottom of the garden by the sea and is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the sunshine before the walk back up. For anybody who is interested in flowers the garden is a must if you are in the area.
