It's hard to describe this hotel. We stayed for 8 nights and were actually sad to be leaving it. On first impression we were not impressed but after the initial shock of the tired, dated decor we actually could see the valuable assets of the Art Deco period surrounded us. The staff were very friendly once we made the effort, they didn't make much effort unless it was initiated by us in the beginning. The hotel was kept very clean, daily changes of sheets and towels. Parquet flooring in the bedrooms with a lot of storage and space. Our bathroom though was not in good condition, just worn, not dirty. Our room had a large balcony with lovely sea views. Outdoor pool was sea water with diving board and slide - the depth of the pool is fantastic and wouldn't be found anywhere now. Beach towels provided in addition to room towels. A/C worked very well in bedroom. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit salad, ham, cheeses, breads, cereals, etc. Gym was good and we used it daily, parking 15e per night (bit steep), diving school attached to hotel which we didn't avail of but others did. Mostly Italians, German and Nordic guests. It's a funny little place about 70 rooms, full at the weekend and half full otherwise (July), I would stay again but if it's luxury you're after this is not the place. A little eccentric perhaps.
