“Authentic Italian Pizza”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2012

Before coming to Italy I was very excited to eat authentic Italian pizza! I finally got a taste of what heaven tastes like. This restaurant has amazing pizza that costs very little money and is very big. I definitely recommend coming here. The staff is very friendly!

“Nice staff, great with kids, good pizza, very expensive Liguria!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2011

We ate here on the 1st September. We were two adults and two children, three and six. The waiters were very attentive to the kids. The kids had bicycles with them and they took care of them too. They have a TV in the window so kids can watch the cartoons, not sure if that's a good idea, but nevertheless it shows they have thought about things. We also had a dog which was no probable. We all had pizza whcih was fine. My gripe and its not really just aimed at the pizzeria is the cost in general around Santa Margherita. 2.50 Euro each person cover. 6 Euros a pint of beer. 10 Euro for a vegetarian pizza with extra sausage. In total we paid 48 euros for three pizzas, one beer, bottle of water, can of coke. If we look at Saló, Lake Garda which to me is as posh if not more so than Santa we paid for the same meal in a prettier location, 38euros, just a few days before. Liguria in general is over priced. Beware.

“Very enjoyable evening!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2011

We dined last evening here and had a wonderful meal. What made the meal so pleasurable was the wait staff interacting with our kids. Of course the food was good as well, but the service was very playful with the kids and as a parent, that is important.

“Glad they let us dine...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2010

...b/c we watched them turn away most everyone else! We didn't have reservations, hoping to have dined in Portofino or back further up the coast but we ended up here. Mostly Italians. Mostly we reservations. We noticed that they would hold the reserved tables for over an hour even though they could've accommodated more seatings-they didn't. I don't know why they seated us but they did and the hostess was NOT pleased with her servers for doing so. In fact, everyone on staff fought with one another. The host (owner?) stalks all the table regularly. Either way, we were out in less than an hour and the food came fast. We were still grateful that we got in so...anyway... The food was DELICIOUS and fresh. The pasta, the seafood, the pizza...all good. The wine list was a value too. Good people watching.
Our server said it is ridiculously hard to get in for out of towners during the 'peak' months.

“Great simple Italian food - Great athmosfere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2009

Our evening at da Emilio was perfect! The food was great, and the prices were very low. We were surrounded by a mix of local/Italian crowd, and foreigners. The wine was very good. A perfect address for simple traditional Italian food. Be sure to try the “da Emilio” version of some dishes! ;-)
