We stayed in this apartment in July. We are an American family of four -- children 14 and 4.
Federica met us at the freeway exit to show us to the apartment, which was very helpful because it would have been difficult to find. Federica was a gracious host. She provided the apartment with a big bowl of fresh fruit, focaccia, cheese, and water. She gave special attention to my daughter. Federica was willing to provide advice prior to our trip and was very helpful.
The apartment is spacious, plenty of room for at least 6 people. The terrace is lovely. The location is close to a village with market, restaurants, pizza, and the sea. There are few tourists here, at least not English speakers. The beach is very rocky here, as in most of this region. We walked along the coast in both directions and found many nice swimming spots. You can walk to Rapallo or take a bus there or to SML (5 min walk to bus stop) where you can take a ferry ride to places like San Fruttuosco, Porto Venere, or Cinque Terre.
I would recommend this apartment for young people and families, who are looking for a good value apartment with easy access to the area. Unfortunately, we stayed during an unseasonably hot time. There is an AC unit, but it cannot cool the apartment, so it was very uncomfortable. Americans travelers generally have expectation of climate control. The apartment would be fine during normal weather. Also, there was no WIFI, which we were counting on for communicating w/o cell phone. We had to go to Rapallo or SML for WIFI.
