Our group of three ladies took aday trip down from Turin during the world masters games , we had mixed seafood plater, spaghetti with clams and a pizza to say the least was average in our restaurant experence in Italy.

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2013

We enjoyed a fantastic lunch here, the service was truly excellent, The food was delicious, try the Spaghetti Vongole, it was so tasty, the best we had eaten in 3 weeks in Italy. This Restaurant is a gem, we loved it and will return

“We love this place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2013

My husband and I ate here every other night and we were in Portofino for 8 nights. The owner is warm and welcoming. The waitress is terrific and helpful in suggesting dishes to try. The food was always hot and delicious. It fills up fast, so I would suggest getting there early to eat.

“Why so popular?”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 13, 2013

Cannot understand why folks are clamoring to get a table here. The owner/manager acts overwhelmed, is unpleasant with his staff and just didn't seem happy to be there. The food was so so. Good pasta, strange pizza.

“Great local pizzeria”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2013

Don't get taken in by the overpriced average food places at the top of portofino harbour. El portico is just a little up the street off the square opposite Pucci and is far and away a better casual dinner place. We booked a table for 9pm at about 6pm which turned out to be a good idea as there were at least 4 other tables waiting when we arrived for our booking. The pizza was excellent as was the pesto lasagne. Their olive oil to accompany the bread was one of the best oils we had in all of italy. The place was packed to the rafters the whole time we were there. I wouldn't bother with dessert here though as its not there focus. Grab a gelato at one of the two excellent places near the square instead.
