“One of the best Pizza's in La Spezia”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2012

The Trittico is located in La Spezia town center, a great place to eat both lunch or dinner. A huge selection of Pizza's and a fantastic menu which changes daily. The Owner and staff are very polite, and eager to please. We are now regulars!!

“Small Local Pizzeria & Restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2012

It was a Monday and most restaurants were closed in La Spezia. I stumbled upon Il Trittico while roaming around the small streets of the city. Il Trittico is small local's hangout, serving primarily pizzas. It can be rather noisy as the marble-topped tables are close to one another. This is a no frills restaurant featuring paper placemats, but the food is rather good.

There is an extensive menu of pizzas and focaccia's with many creative toppings and combinations. Pizzas are cooked in a wood-burning oven and they looked rather tasty with nice thin crusts.

I was a little hungry so I started with a mixed salami and cured meat antipasto, which was served with an oven hot focaccia drizzled with olive oil and salt. The portion was a little small for the 7 euro price.

Il Trittico has a chalkboard listing three pasta dishes and three main dishes (chicken, roast beef or a large salad.) I had the bow tie pasta with tuna and peas in a red tomato sauce. The pasta was excellent, perfectly cooked al dente and it was a nice size portion (7 euro).

I had a Macedonia fruit salad and a cafe to complete the meal. All this plus a large bottle of water totaled 22.00 euro. The service was attentive and very friendly. I'll be back to try the pizza!
