“Outstanding!!”

Rosalba and Gian Paolo provide a B&B where hospitality is the key word: a luxurious room, quiet, with a beautiful view on La Spezia and the sea, and properly cleaned every day; great breakfast with super homemade cakes and other delicious food; large swimming pool; lovely garden. It's all there to guarantee a super vacation, provided you have a car. Perfect spot to visit Cinque Terre and all the other lovely villages in the area. Rosalba will tell you all about it! We will surely be back!

Room Tip: Take the car to a (free) parking lot close to the railway station and travel by train to Cinque Terr...

Villa Amaranta is a super de luxe b&b. Great rooms, a beatifull garden with pool, perfect home made breakfast. Perfect place to go to the 5 terra, and have walks along the coast line.
The city of LaSpezia is not interesting, but there are lovely small towns to go to.
You will need a carto visit the surroundings. From here it is just 2 hrs to Florence!

Room Tip: I can advise the room with seeview and terras.

We landed yesterday from our trip to italy and Cinque Terre, and I am so in love with the place we stayed at that I wanted to write this review right away so many more can experience it.

You are living in a very comfortable room fully furnished with TV, AC, fridge and good size bed. Over-looking the harbour of La Spezia and each morning you peek out of the window you are stricken with awe and it is hard to understand the beauty of it all.

The pool area is superb, you have parking space for your car, great garden where you can have a private bbq evening if you so desire. The host Rosalba is very accomodating to your needs and she truly goes above and beyond to make your stay a special one.

The only downside of this place is probably that it will be reserved.

Remember that you will need to have your own car to reach this spot, it is rather far out from the city center, but it is worth it
If you are going to see cinque terre or la spezia, I strongly encourage you to try to get some nights here. It is truly worth it

We stayed here in April with our three kids. Rosabella (sp?), the hostess was the hardest working lady I have ever seen. Rooms were very clean. The grounds were very beautiful. The breakfast were beautiful and tasty. We were there for five breakfasts and they were different each morning. They aimed to please. Great stay. Would recommend to anyone.

Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting cinque terre. Enjoyed our stay very much; beautiful place, magnificent view, delicious breakfast, warm welcome... Would love to come back soms day. Minor detail: shower kind of cold during "peak hours".

Great B&B on a perfect location with a fantastic view. Very nice decorated rooms and everything is brand new. The view from the balcony and the surroundings are amazing.
The hospitality and service of Rosalba and her husband are great and the breakfast, information about the region and all other things are excellent.

Staying at Villa Amaranta was certainly a highlight of our 10 day trip to Italy. It was the perfect home base for discovering Cinque Terre (we parked the car in town and took a short train ride to Monterosso) and Rosalba was a superb host - we immediately felt welcome and right at home. The property (including the room) is immaculate and the view of La Spezia is breathtaking. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and we couldn't have had a better experience. One tip - make sure you take the short trip (20 minutes on windy road by car) to Portovenere; we went on recommendation from Rosalba and it was an amazing coastal town. You will not be disappointed staying here!
