The biggest square in city, with powerful triumphant arc in the middle.
Mighty sight to behold, not far from the city centre.

I first saw this by going up the stairs to the south of the Piazza as from the top you get a great view across the whole place. It's worth the climb up the steps and there's a small viewing square to enjoy the vista including the hills in the back ground.

An immense arch stands out as a beacon in this park. Reminiscent of that at the Champs-Élysées in Paris, the only difference here is that we do not have to deal with those French drivers...Here there is a park, many flowers and a tranquil park setting that allows one to reflect. On this day there were many wreaths commemorating the fallen soldiers. Besides the park are buildings housing offices and stores. Close by is the Brignole Stazione and the busy streets of Genoa. So, enjoy the tranquility for as long as you can.
