In for a little adventure? Go get lost in castagnola 64. Quaint, farm like, quiet, peaceful, up in the mountains. View is scenic n magnificent. Go for a walk ard the area, n oh yes, u will hv 2 cats n blackie the dog as your protector, n companion too. Owners Lu n Leo are ever present wit information, n with their warm hospitality, u will be joyous. The road up to the farm is exhilaratingly challenging but otherwise manageable. N also dun forget abt dining in la Brinca, recommended by Lu. All in all, 2 thumbs up !

A beautiful B&B with friendly hosts. Once up the narrow & twisty road (I really do mean ultra twisty & ultra narrow, and do follow the instructions carefully) you will be in a isolated county environment. Great place to see all that Laguria has to offer. Thanks to Lu & leo, from Wayne & family

A drive up twisty narrow roads rewarded us with a gorgeous comfy room, an amazing view off the terrace, and the warm hospitality of the proprietors Lu and Leo. After a long long day of international travel, what a treat to have a delicious home cooked meal and sink into a cozy bed in a room with a view of the olive groves and vineyards in the valley below. It was easy to access Cinque terre and Portofino from Castagnola 64 for day trips. This B and B is a great value folks!

What a welcome you will get here. It's a bit out of the way, but worth the effort. Your hosts Lu and Leo will make sure that you have a fantastic time 'on the hill'.

My wife and I wanted to visit Italy for a week this summer after seeing friends in the South of France. We picked up this B&B through the Karen Brown web site and it is ideally located to visit the Liguria region with beautiful beaches, picturesque little towns, and fantastic food and wines. Our hosts, Lu and Leo were very welcoming and they have a wonderful place tucked in the hills so you can escape the tourists and wake up and enjoy breakfast overlooking tranquil terraced hillsides of olives and vines. Easy to visit places like Portofino, Chiavari, Genoa during the day. Lu gave us great advice about where to visit, eat, park, you name it.. Definitely one of the best holidays we have had, would thoroughly recommend for couples, families and friends as exceptional value and great quality.

The winding mountain road up the mountain was an adventure in itself and I admit questioning my wife's reservation skills, but once at the top the view was fabulous and Lu & Leo were welcoming hosts. The steps up to the house through the vinyards seemed long until the next day when we hiked between the nearby cities of Cinque Terre. After a hot day walking miles, the Castagnola 64 steps were just a hop and skip to the top. We would reccomend visiting Lu and Leo and make sure you leave room in your stay to enjoy a fabulous home cooked pizza dinner in Leo's wood fired oven and a salad of local greens. Breakfast was wonderful too.

Thank you
Greg

Thank you ! We're happy you had a great time here but especially happy that you thought the Cinque Terre are harder work than our steps ... say it again loud & pass it on ! :) :)
