“Decent hotel, ugly part of town”
Reviewed June 17, 2013

Genoa is not a pretty town, at least what little we saw of it, and this hotel is situated in one of the more industrial areas and is far from downtown. The hotel looks like it was built within the last 10 years and is going to slowly become run down due to lack of upkeep. The exterior is already looking fairly neglected, but the interior is still looking ok. Staff were friendly and helpful when requests were made. Rooms were clean. Internet is not free - fee is 7 Euros per *device*. ok place to stay if just passing through and need to crash for a night.

Nice hotel, appealing on the one hand, and on the other - very comfortable: cosy rooms, eye-catching interior, lots of space. Though the personnel could be more gentle. Another slight minus (for some people though it can be a real problem) - this hotel is quite far from the center of the city, but there is a bus stop close to the hotel, so for me it was not a problem. Would love to stay there one more time :)

Unfriendly and rude staff. I tried to order a coffee from the bar at 12pm and they told me to come back later in a very bad manners.

I had a reservation for New Year's dinner and the same day the told me the restaurant were closed which It wasn't.

WI-FI is 7€ per day only for one device.

I would not recommend anyone to stay there.

OK ... if you want a stopover near to the motorway and just need to eat sleep get up and go.... then this serves its purpose.

The room etc was clean and well equipped.
The evening meal was actually quite good although the restaurant was soulless and the staff didn't seem to care.

But....
You will need sat nav to get you there.
It is way out of the nice areas of Genoa
The common areas, carpets etc, are dirty and stained.
Reception staff were unenthusiastic and responded slowly to our requests for pillows etc.
Breakfast was a shambles... we turned up at 9.00 and they had run out of cooked food and again seemed not to care about us.

Just about worth it as a transit stop but if not we really dont recommend it.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view. We got one overlooking staff parking area at the back..

Stayed there to rest on my way to Costa Brava. One can see that this hotel has its good days long time ago. Rooms are average. Shower cabin is very small. The breakfast is more than poor. Overall, this hotel doesn't deserve four stars any more.

The hotel has a four star sign, but is more like a two star hotel : full of stained carpets (even if you ask specificly for a room without carpets, which they have), the room is supposed to have a mini bar but the fridge in our room had disappeared, the air conditioning is of such poor quality that it turns the room into a fridge and you have to turn if off. There is next to no security in this hotel : they leave the door on the second floor (adjacent to parking lot) open and everybody can come in. Breakfast is very poor and you have to whipe off the wet plates yourself. The hotel is located in a depressing industrialised area. I would not recommend anyone to stay there.

The hotel is very poor. It is dirty inside and out. It looks like the carpets havent been cleaned in ages. In fact, there are dirty furniture marks on the carpet in the common areas which makes it look like it is selling off furnitrue and getting out of business soon. The hotel smells. Everything looks broken, dusty, dirty and run down. In ither words, stay away. Especially for the price.
