“a walk directly above the water”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2013

Nervi is one of the nicest places close to Genoa, very beautiful houses and villas, a very nice park and this walk. It is directly on the see, on one side you have a beautiful sight on the see, on the other you have the park, so if you change your mind and you want to relax in the garden, it is a matter of less than one minute walk.

“Should be one of the 7 wonders”

The mediterranean landscape is breathtaking, the colours, the scents, the sea salt feeling on the laps when the wind blows from south east. Simply one of the best places on earth

“Short walk after a good dine”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 20, 2012

I love the place, especially after a good eat in local restaurants.
The path is very scenic, especially if you have the chance to visit it at sunset.
Of course summer and weekends are more crowded, but take the chance to explore the relaxing up-and-down walk, the penetrating sea smell, and the rithmic sound of the waves.

PS there are a couple of parks at the side of this walk, and some people say there still are squirrels there (try bringing a couple of nuts and scratching them together).

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2012

We travelled to Nervi twice, sadly on damp days. But we walked the Passeggiata anyway. From the railway station, turn left after the two bars immediately outside and walk through the short tunnel and you're there. On our wet, grey day, it was nonetheless a wonderful walk, that would be incredible in the sunshine. The slightly faded nature of the various hotels and bars only adds to the charm.

On our second trip we visited the Wolfsoniana and the Modern Art Musuem: both are good, the former lacking a bit in describing the overall context of some very interesting pieces; the latter in a magnificent palazzo. But both worth a visit, not least to enjoy the beauty of the extensive park in which they're set.

“A wonderful walk”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2012

If you want to enjoy a great place, then take the train to Nervi.
There is a wonderful walk above the rocks on the sea, with spectacular views on Riviera and Genoa itself.
Not far from the station there is the entrance to the park, where you can find a beautiful rose garden.
In summer there is a great semi-covered place where you can taste a wonderful granita or gelato.
At the end of Passeggiata close to Genoa there is a small harbour where there are wonderful views of old fishermen houses, while on the extreme opposite side the walk ends in a small fishermen village with a small cobble stone beach where you can enjoy a good swimming in nice water. Just beware for children, the water immediately gets deep, very close to the shore.
If you have time, enjoy a good dinner on one of the restaurants with sea view.
