Owner description: The Acquario di Genova was built on the occasion of the Expo ’92, a celebration of the fifth centenary of the discovery of the New World by Christopher Columbus, with the intention of restructuring and enhancing an area full of history and traditions, located in the heart of Genoa’s historic centre, the Porto Antico (the old port). It’s the biggest aquarium in Europe.

Very nice and well organized attraction. I didn't have to wait to buy the tickets nor to enter the acquarium building Fantastic show with the three dolphins Building is also interesting from an architectural point of view Restaurant was poor of snacks on the other hand

Th Aquarium of Genova has become bigger ! its amazing how you feel inside that place :)
The dolphines are so beautiful ,everything was just great ,such a thrill
The tickets for two was a bit expensive so i don;t know how much more would be for bigger groups but it was all worth it ,the new part of the aquarium was not totaly ready but we could go thru the whole premises
Great for kids and Adults ,i sure was like a kid in some moments :)
Great spot also for making pictures of Genova ,very beautiful indeed

Aquarium is nice, but is not big. Price is too high.
Family ticket is 76€. Visit last about hour and half.
Nearby parking is full of annoying and insisting seller trying to sell souvenirs, fake bags and similar garbage.

Impressive in terms of size; quality of the exhibits doesn't really compare to other major aquariums. Still, it's a worthwhile day out. At the moment it seemed like a lot of construction/renovation was going on without any attempt to hide the work from the public, creating a very shabby impression to much of it.
Some actively-led activities would be a good addition, e.g. watching them feed the animals, especially the seals, dolphins, etc.
Much unrealized potential.

Coming to this attraction for the last 6 years with the kids and each time they never tire of it! You cna easily spend half a day there looking at all the attractions. Kids love the dolphin tanks and the sharks although they tell me now they love all of it. Nice little cafe halfway through for a cool drink and in the summer the decking is open for a nice breeze and views around the port.
Good value for moneym in my view!
