The hotel is marvellous in all aspects, why I didn't rate it as excellent? simply because of the location, being near by a train station does not always add a benefit, yes you may have easy transportation access but you know hoe it always looks like around train stations. other than this everything else about this hotel is simply great.

Conveniently located near the train station in Chirstopher Colombus Square and with in 5 minutes walk to the harbor and the aquarium.

The rooms are particularly small with an antique feel to it and hence does not suit a business travelers. The room furniture is not not suitable to do work.

Hotel Parking is quite expensive at 15 Euros a night.

Make sure to check for hotel rates on an individual day basis as some particular days are charged at almost double the standard rate.

The Parking is expensive, they charged 6 EURO every time you order something from room service. The rooms are out of dated and lack light and view. This is not what I would qualify as a 4 start in anyway. The only positive was the food from room service which was decent particularly the tiramisu. Breakfast was chaotic and the "hot" food was cold. Overall we would not recommend staying there.

This was one of the best values for money since I got some promotional rate. Everything about this hotel was 5 star and great, the room, the toilet, the breakfast, everything. My only remark is for pricy parking and maybe inexperienced receptionist during my check in. Location is not very attractive but very close to rail and bus station. Huge buffet breakfast with a cook on spot to make eggs as you wish. Free wifi and a computer with a printer in the lobby. Very nice terrace on top.

We came back twice so far. It is so convenient across from the train station and rooms are large with attractive decor. Best of all is the breakfast--it's sumptious served in a lovely airy room with every dish you could want. The bathroom was recently renovated and had all the amenities. Our room was quiet and overlooked the old station. We went to breakfast about 9:45 and when we returned our room was completely made up. We love Genova, but it rained almost every day of our two week vacation which put a damper on the trip. Restaurants are very important to us and we had four favorites: Sa Pesta, Bakari, Maxela, and Tre Merli. The room needed to be dusted more often and that was our only complaint.

Room Tip: Make sure to face the station. We were in room 507 which was delightful.

This is a great hotel with superb service, nice rooms and good food. For a special occasion we splashed and booked the presidential suite, well worth the price on that weekend.

The only complaint I have, has nothing to do with the hotel or their friendly staff. The hotel was full of misbehaving guests who emptied trays of small pastries or fruit. To such an extent that the staff was unable to replace the items.

If the hotel wants to attract civilized guests in the future it better takes care that others do not spoil their stay.
