We traveled by car to Genoa with an infant and a small dog and used the Hotel Bristol Palace as our jumping spot for day excursions. We ALWAYS looked forward to coming back to Genoa to this great place of respite. It's a REALLY nice hotel, with an obvious grand past. The service was great, the decor was classic, but well kept, and we had a truly enormous room with great light and space.
The hotel is walking distance to Porto Antico and as you walk toward it, you realize how close you are to everything that Genoa is proud of: The Piazza de Ferrrari with the Palazzo Ducale is one block, the medieval quarter with it's great restaurants and shops two blocks, the magnificent Via San Lorenzo Cathedral. You get the point.
The daily breakfast was good, the staff was great, helpful, and friendly, and we left happy. What else can you want from a temporary home besides it feeling like home? Go for it!More
