“A Gem in Genoa”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

A great novelty in the central Via Fieschi, attracting crowds and illuminating the nights of the city. Good Mexican food at a budget price, especially at lunch time. Very friendly host/owner (from Florida), joined by authentic Mexican mama and world savvy bone-fragile local husband. Could do with some actual sizzling fajitas (as opposed to just burrito on steroids), but don't miss the tasty tacos and the fantastically hot chilly sauce on the side. Most important don't miss watching typical pesto eaters getting purple and shouting for "pane!" after incautiously swallowing a spoonful of it. Don't forget to bring cash, as they will not yet take plastic. Reccomended! Before they give up on this somewhat difficult city and move to Paris or something!

“New location rocks!”
Reviewed August 3, 2012

I've been to the location in the historic center but yesterday I went to the new location at Via Fieschi, 78 Red. The new restaurant is bigger and very nicely decorated inside and out.

We ate tacos, fajitas and burritos. It was all delicious. My only disappointment is the guacamole, which I thought was too runny. But I have been to Cozumel, Mexico at least 100 times and you cannot beat the guacamole at Pancho's Backyard!

I would definitely eat here again and love the new location!

“Great service and food at a great price”
Reviewed December 21, 2011

It took a while to find it, but once we did we could not have been happier. The food was outstanding and the portions were plentifull. If you want anything ask the staff is very helpful. If you love Mexican food do not miss this place, it may be a little hole in the wall, but it's worth it.

“Italian restaurant marketing themselves as Mexican.”
Reviewed October 21, 2011

The food is not really as spicy as Mexican food is supposed to be, it is more Italian.

The place is small but looks very good.
