We booked this hotel at the last minute, not knowing what to expect in terms of location, but being familiar with the good quality always offered by the NH Hotel chain. The hotel sits on a very privileged spot in the old port of the city, and it is a stone's throw from the old town of Genova. A perfect location to visit this magnificent city! Our deluxe room was quiet, spacious and clean, with a nice view onto the Marina, with a comfy King size bed. The buffet breakfast had a wide choice of foods from which to select and you could enjoy it on the outdoor terrace. The overall experience was excellent and we will be sure to return to this lovely hotel. Ah, by the way, the hotel is right next to the world famous Genova aquarium, making it very easy to visit this attraction.

Room Tip: For just a little extra, book the deluxe rooms...super spacious, quiet and easy to reach from the lo...

I used to stay here on business, the location in Genoa is still amongst the best but... time has stood still the rooms need work and the check-in staff need some client training!

We had pre-booked for 1 night, rooms etc. all fine BUT when we'd done all the check-in formalities we got 1 key (for 2 rooms). We questioned this and were told that it was fine, we pushed 1 key for 2 rooms... but still this was fine. Fortunately it was lunch time so we left our luggage in the car, headed off to the restaurant, had lunch returned to reception, who had had a change in staff, and got 2 keys for each room without problem.

We should have also realised that the same receptionists information regarding breakfast times etc. was not reliable as we discovered the next morning...

Still a great position, still good open spaces, restaurant and terraces - but needs updating. Perhaps having been in the UNA Versilia for 3 nights before didn't help as that's a hard act to follow...

Well maintained friendly place specially pre or post cruise from genoa. The balcony facing rooms are great since you may perhaps see your cruise ship docking from your balcony.

Helpful restaurant staff n great breakfast

Room Tip: Choose a room having a balcony facing the marina

Recently stayed here for 1 night for a business trip and it was in a great location. Underground parking is very helpful and the buffet breakfast hits the spot. Rooms aren't great and didn't have a nice view but I was only here for 1 night so didn't mind.

This hotel's location is great and the reason we chose it. It is close to many main attractions. I have stayed in Genoa many times and also a few times in this hotel. This was the last time I hope. The rooms were so hot that we couldn't sleep, we asked to have the A/C on or we would have to move out since we were there in business and for more than a week. We were told by a very rude receptionist that it wasn't possible. After talking to the manager it was indeed possible but after a few days with cool air they changed it back without saying anything, very dissapointing. The housekeeping was very poor. Half was forgotten, always something eg: no towels, no loo paper, not topped up mini-bar and not closing the balcony door was the worse. Room service was very dissapointing, I was given not properly cooked chicken. Breakfast is very nice with freshly made juices and a good selection. All in all it wasn't good and I think it's a shame since it's location is great and if the staff was better trained it could be a very good hotel.

The NH Marina Hotel is ideally located in the old port of Genoa, just steps away from the beautiful old town of Genoa. The hotel is not cheap but very reasonable for the quality of the bedrooms (each and every room has a sea/port view + balcony) and comes with an amazing breakfast buffet for grown-ups and kids! The location is perfect as it is so close to the old town and its amazing streets and squares full of restaurants, bars and cafes, and being in the port it is very quiet at night. It is also right next to a beautiful galeon ship. We also selected the hotel as it offers private parking (20 € for 24h, not cheap but very convenient). Staff very friendly and accommodating too. We will go back !

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the top (2nd!) floor, the view will be slightly better.
