In the evening after shopping we were too lazy to search for restaurants in the city and we went to the restaurant at ours hotel (BW City Hotel Genoa).
We made the right choice!
The hotel turned out to be recommended in the Michelin guide!
Dinner was just wonderful!
Warm salad of seafood in shells, sea bass and f fried anchovy tempura, wine, natural homemade strawberry sorbet and just delicious cheesecake with berries in ice-cream bowls (in our country different cheesecake like a pie).

Cheerful and good-natured staff, cozy and warm atmosphere, just a wonderful place!

We ate at this restaurant on our first night in Genoa. We chose it because it is highly rated on Tripadvisor but also because it was in the hotel were we staying. We bookd a table although I am not sure it was necessary as we were eating early. We were shown to a table in an empty room by a huge TV showing BBC news. The waiter guessed we were not happy and quickly moved us to another room with other customers. The menu was normal Italian fare. The waiter were helpful in translating odd unusual items. The food and service was good. Cost (123 euros for 4) including a cover charge of 2.50 euros which provided just bread.

We really enjoyed eating here. The layout of the restaurant is interesting, as it is a split-level restaurant beneath a hotel, but the food was very enjoyable and cost-effective. Pesto is great, the gnocchi a zucca very tasty. We would definitely plan to eat here again.

We found the restaurant on a little side street off Via Roma where the exclusive shops reside. It is definitely a hidden gem. The pumpkin gnocchi was out of this world and the Ravioli with veal and black truffles was incredible. A great lunch and reasonably priced. We will be back for sure.
