“Touristy Genoa and Definitely Worth It”
Reviewed May 6, 2012

This is the restaurant everyone says you should go to. It's worth it for the splashy show--personable engaging waiters, excellent Itaian and local specialties, photos of famous people who have eaten there and dessert sizzle. Family style servings. Great experience in a group. Not for a quiet intimate evening.

“Genoa's Tourist Favorite.”
Reviewed April 25, 2012

Over the top waiters with excellent fish and pasta. The walls are filled with all of the famous people who have eaten there. Great decor and ambience. Expensive but worth it.

“Warm & welcoming”

Great tasting food, friendly and humorous staff and an owner who do charmingly greets his guests upon departure. Experience was memorable in the best way possible.

“delicious but no need to waste money”
Reviewed March 28, 2012

the atmosphere, the taste is good. but the price is high not worth the quality of the food served. consider foods like a piece of cheese foccacia, one half fish,a small piece of cake,a glass of simple white wine, water cost 750 euros per nine people.

“good food but not top notch”
Reviewed March 6, 2012

we saw this restaurant during the evening stroll in genoa, it is just 15 meters from one of the main streets. It was quite dead that evening, it was on Christmas holiday.
Good quality Italian food, but I think overpriced for what it is. The staff gives you impression that this is THE PLACE. They also show you albums about close "bonds" between Vatican and restaurant. Pope gets his pesto from Zeffirino. This is kinda nice touch, a little bit funny but good marketing I think. Because otherwise place is not very impressive for what you pay. Although I did appreciate nice service, silverware and other details. It is old world charm, not for young people. They also give you free grappa at the end and do it very nicely and creatively.
