“Nice street food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2014 via mobile

Fried fish was not bad in this little spot in Vernazza. Perfect for a tasty stop & go. Fried fish was correct, avoid surimi crab and go straight to fried calamari and fried anchovies.

“Snack on the go!”

If you are flying through the Cinque Terre then grab a paper cone of seafood and stroll down to the Vernazza waterfront with tasty crunchy fried seafood in bite sized pieces!

“Great idea - just wish the execution had been better”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2014

We were staying in Vernazza and passed this cute walk up several times. Fried seafood is a great pre/post beach snack. We ordered the large mixed cone which came with everything presented under the display - calamari, anchovies, crab ball, etc. Food and batter were light and tasty, but it could have been crunchier and less greasy. I wish they would cook the orders as they came in rather than letting it sit out. 12 euros seemed a little steep to me.

“Crunchy seafood goodness in a box”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2014 via mobile

Have not had much seafood since arriving in Italy. Was craving fried food, so we walked past this place. The fried calamari looked very welcoming. So we tried a small box as an appetiser to lunch. It was really crunchy and fresh. And the lemon juice gave a nice balance to the salt and pepper seasoning of the batter. The fried fish looked really fresh too. Worth a try. Tried another stall in another town, this one was way batter, I mean way better. ;)

“Tasty fried fish”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2014

The fried fish was fantastic. You choose a paper cone (3 sizes for different prices) and they fill it up for you with whatever you want. The crab was so buttery and the anchovies were tasty and not too fishy. Perfect thing to eat on a bench but the sea.
