We loved this place and became regulars, climbing up each day of our visit. The view is stupendous but we would have gone even if it was down a dark alley. The generous portions of fruit in the cocktails, the apertifs that were complementary with drinks, the most amazing cappuccino freddo I have ever had and the warm neighbourhood feel of the place. Be patient with what seems like slow service. The kitchen is further down the hill and great care is taken with the preparation. Magical and without doubt, the highlight of our time in Vernazza, overlooking the secret and possibly dangerous beach. We risked it but our lovely waiter, Federico did refer to falling rocks being a real possibility. Just make the climb, be patient with the wait and enjoy the delights of what you receive.

I stumbled on this place after hiking from Vernazza to Corniglia and what a find!! Do not let the steep climb deter you! I did not eat there so I cannot rate the food, but grab a table near sunset and have some glasses of wine overlooking all of Vernazza. It was amazing!

It's a bit of a hike to get to the top for this restaurant, but you are rewarded with fantastic views of Vernazza. The food is fairly priced, as the portions are VERY generous (comparatively speaking). The quality is not great - the lasagna was served luke-warm and tasted like it came frozen from the grocery store. The seafood pasta, on the other hand, was delicious. The service was terrible, as it took over 20 minutes just to order a drink. The kitchen is located further down the hill, so it takes a long time for the food to arrive. Warning: cash only.

Have to visit , if you interested in:
- perfect taste of cold local white wine (smell like cheese);
- very very nice view to Vernazza (especially in the evening);
- very taste lasagna with pesto and anchovies with potatoes and tomatoes (oour ordered, but we believe they have more what to offer for you)

We had lunch at La Torre after a long morning of hiking. The bruschetta pomodoro and pest lasagne are absolutely delicious - the best bruschetta we had in Italy!
