We arrived in Vernazza late one afternoon after taking the train from Venice. We did not realize when we switched trains in Milan that the second one would not have a food car, so we did not have any lunch. By 4 p.m. we were starving. We checked into our hotel and went down to this restaurant, which is situated right on the harbor. If nothing else, it's worth it to just go sit there and look at the view. However, we also found the food to be very good. We started with a pizza, which was very nicely prepared. We were still hungry and ordered a plate of spaghetti with pesto. The pesto was delicious; I make my own at home and I felt this was even better. The waiter came over and talked to me about things to try to make my pesto at home more like theirs. The service was friendly and we felt comfortable staying as long as we wanted.
