“Cinqueterre Residence”

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the Cinqueterre Residence during our honeymoon and we couldn’t have been happier with our accommodations. The view from the hotel is spectacular as it is set up on the hilltop and you can look down over the small village with a beautiful view of the sea from your patio that is surrounded in lemon trees.

The staff is unbelievable accommodating and friendly, from helping with our luggage to providing recommendations for each of the five villages, the customer services was way beyond expectation.

The breakfast that is provided to guest each morning is exceptional and you are always greeted by Piero, Carla or Davide with a warm and inviting smile!

I would highly recommend staying at Cinqueterre Residence – I know that we’ll be returning ourselves!

we stayed for four nights at cinqueterre residence. Davide and his family took very good care of us. they gave us excellent advice about walking the 5terre track and were also very helpful giving advice about local restaurants. they helped us plan the train connections for the next part of our trip. even prior to arriving they helped us by giving very good advice about trains that got us from venice to riomaggiore with ease. they gave good directions to find the hotel as well. the price was very affordable and the accomodation was very clean and fresh and the room beautifully decorated. the breakfast was excellent. they were always available to help us with any questions we had.

Room Tip: all the rooms looked great to us.

We had a lovely time here! Davide welcomed us with a really refreshing wine, gave us all information about places to go + the maps. The restaurant he advised us was superb! We had a big room with a terrace - lovely view at the wineyards, town and a little bit of sea. Davide and his familly was very nice and helpful all the time.
I also think that Riomaggiore is the best choice from the 5 towns, even though it's small you still find so many things to do there and it's also a great starting point if you want to do the full hike between the towns.
We will definitelly come back again and stay at Cinqueterre Residence! Daniela

We had a really enjoyable stay here. When we arrived we were worried because it was a decent walk uphill from the center of town. But once we got there we knew we made a good choice. Davids and his family welcomed us and gave us a rundown on what to do and where to go. Riomaggiore is the best town in my opinion, its small but still has a lot to do. The views from the room were worth the long walks back at night. I would stay here again. I recommend a day trip to Portovenere and renting a kayak.

We were so lucky to book this residence a mere few hours prior to arrival. We were planning to stay in Monterosso but arriving on a Saturday it was completely booked. So we quickly went on line to search for a vacancy. My husband wanted to stay in one of the 5 Terre rather than outside of the towns so when this one popped up we grabbed it immediately. In retrospect, we were so glad to not stay in Monterosso because it being the largest town it was overloaded with people. Riomaggiore was the town farthest down the coast so it was perfect to begin the hiking trail from there at the Via dell'Amore. Plus it was a quainter & more charming town. And yes there were many steps but that's what 5 Terre is all about.
Our gracious hosts Davide & Carla welcomed us immediately and offered us refreshing beverages, delicious iced tea & a beer to help us get settled. At this point we were offered maps & any info we would need re- our 3 day stay.
The suite itself was quite spacious with a large bedroom & bathroom with complete amenities. As well as a balcony & our own terrace. What a view!! The rooms also had free WiFi. We were fortunate enough to get a prime parking spot at the top of the hill, a few steps from our room. Breakfast was lovely with fresh pastries & bread daily, seasonal fruit, cured meats and cheeses- which were great for a snack on the hike by the way! And of course il signore made us delicious cappuccino and espresso. Davide's restaurant recommendations were great. We enjoyed Ripa del Sol at the top of the hill. But my husband went crazy for the little frigottoria at the bottom of the hill where they served amazing calamari in a large paper cone, with a Corona of course. And there was never a shortage of gelato in these towns. Nonetheless, you will not be disappointed with this booking. The family & staff are terrific!
In case you are not up to doing the entire hike (about 5 hours) there are trains that run regularly between the towns, as well as a boat. Bring a good pair of hiking shoes, bug spray and sunscreen (still very hot in beg. of Sept.) & you'll be ready for the fabulous Cinque Terre!

We loved our three night stay at Cinqueterre Residence in early Sept 2012 and only wish we could have stayed longer! As everyone mentions, the family of Cinqueterre Residence are wonderful, kind, helpful and truly work to make everyone feel welcome and cared for. The welcome from Davide when we arrived including maps, information about the area and recommendations was very helpful.

The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. The bathrooms are also spacious and with updated amenities. I was surprised by how calm and quiet the property is – very relaxing! Yes, there is a hill and several steps to get to and from the center of town – but I promise you, it’s well worth it! The location was just perfect for us.

I looked forward to breakfast each morning – pastries, berries, and homegrown tomatoes (the best!) for me. There was also cereal, yogurt, meats and cheeses available – a great selection for breakfast. And of course the “famous” Cinqueterre Residence cappuccino complete with a smiley face on the top. ☺

We miss it already. We will return again and when we do, we will certainly stay at Cinqueterre Residence!

Thank you Davide and family for a wonderful stay.
We hope to visit again soon!

We stayed here 3 nights and could have stated longer. Directions they gave the travel agent were great. No way would I have wanted to carry my luggage up that hill. The green bus was handy for this and as we later found out a great saviour in other towns of the Cinque Terre.
We had a corner room with no directly attached rooms, common balcony though, which made for meeting other guests. As did the green bus. Where we met a great Canadian couple whom we share much vino, food and story swapping with.
The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, breakfast more than adequate with fresh coffee.
David's advice and knowledge was wonderful and aided us in finding great little away from the tourists spots.
A great comfortable and friendly stay. Thank you!
