For what we had this placed was expensive and we had to pay €5 cover charge. House wine was good but expensive.

Staying at Lucca throughnthrpe New Year we decided to adventuremto Cinqueterre by train...first town..Riomaggiore. Mnot a lot, open being the low season...found this place open...we had a great seafood salad for appetizer...and a big size pizza each..pricier than at Lucca , but considering the place we where it as worth it!

We had a decent meal here followed by stellar deserts. The manager was great, some of the best service we've had in Italy, which is not really known for its service. My pizza (proscuitto and mushrooms) was quite good but it was a focaccia pizza not real pizza, so not excellent. My wife's Raghu/Bolognese was very salty, not very good. We got some amazing sorbet and an out-of-control-good walnut torte for desert. The torte blew us away.

I loved sitting in the little room encompassed by glass that is so popular in Italy. There were only about 10 tables in there, had the best and nicest service, and delicious food. Mushroom pizza was very interesting- the crust is much thicker than the typical thin crust you see in other restaurants in Italy. But still delicious. Great pasta, and lovely family-run place. Unfortunately, there was a table of LOUD DRUNK Americans at the table next to us, and being in a small room, the entire restaurant gave them death stares, only to be met by oblivion. Oh well, one patron came up to another table of Americans and said "don't worry, we don't think all Americans are like that" which I though was nice. In spite of this, we still had a great dinner.
