Look its important to know that if you are going to Cinque Terre you will have to climb steps and walk up steep inclines. This hotel was a decent degree into the town. Meaning a bit of a haul up a steep incline. Then the rooms are up a tiny winding staircase. As if you are staying in a light house. It is on the main street so the church bell rings all the time> I swear it rang at like 2 am! Then the rooster crows and everyone stands under your window talking at full volume. So with no a/c you have to leave the windows open and you will not sleep
However it was a sweet room! A great green feature is your card is also the power source. So when you leave all the electric turns off. The lady that runs it is nice. The older man is not. Just ignore him. He seems annoyed when you interrupt his computer solitaire game.
And the downstairs has a self service breakfast area. Which was nice because I could get coffee or juice anytime.
It seems that now that CT is a big tourist destination , the locals have lost their patience a bit. They were a little abrupt and it just wasnt the quaint awesomeness I expected. DONT go in JUNE. They are way too many boneheads from the States. If not them , then it is the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Either way, the trains are packed and it may not be what you expect.
But the hiking is great. No one will bother you there. Mostly because they are too lazy.
